- Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - The tour starts at 7:30 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi. You will then depart for Ninh Binh province, which is about a 2-hour drive from Hanoi. - Hoa Lu Ancient Capital - The tour starts at 7:30 AM with a pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi. You will then depart for Ninh Binh province, which is about a 2-hour drive from Hanoi. On the way, you would have a short break for 15-20 minutes to relax. By 10:30 AM, you will visit Hoa Lû, the ancient capital of Vietnam between 968 and 1010. Here, you will learn about Vietnamese history in the feudal system under Dinh, Le, and Ly Dynasty.
- Tam Coc - By 11:45 AM, you will have a buffet lunch in a restaurant with local dishes (vegetarian foods are available as well). Then, you will continue to visit Tam Coc by 1.5-hour bamboo boat. During the boat trip, you will see paddy fields, rivers, water, clouds, sky, and a stunning cave system. This is why Tam Coc is known as the “Ha Long Bay on land”. After that, you will continue the tour for 45 minutes by cycling around the village to discover the life of the local people (if you don’t want to bike, you could choose to walk around the villages)
- Mua Caves - At 3:30 PM, you will get back on the bus and leave for Mua Cave (Dancing Cave). You will then walk up almost 500 steps to reach the top of Lying Dragon Mountain, where you will have an amazing panoramic view of Tam Coc. This marks the end of our tour when you will get on the bus to return to Hanoi. You will be dropped off back to your hotel by around 6.30 PM.

What a fantastic boat ride... - <p>What a fantastic boat ride! Beautiful scenery and a 75 year old rowing three of us with her feet. You don't get that everywhere you go!</p>

Do not book this tour if you are... - <p>Do not book this tour if you are going by the description as it is wrong. We specifically booked this tour as we would be able to spend more time on the water and there was no bicycling component. When we showed up, we were told that we would be on the water for an hour and a half and then bicycle for the remainder of the time. Several people chose to sit out of it, but then we would have paid to just be sitting around so we hopped on the bikes that felt like they were going to break at any moment. Description needs to be updated, but would save money for another tour to Ninh Binh.</p>
