- Halong Bay - Recognized by UNESCO twice as a World Heritage Site, Halong Bay is among top-notch destinations in Vietnam for domestic and foreign tourists with a fantastic blend of pristine natural beauty and effervescent city vibe.
Halong Bay owns a complex of limestone islands located within the Gulf of Tonkin, in the city of Halong, Quang Ninh province, which is about 170km from Hanoi. Halong Bay is surrounded by Bai Tu Long Bay in the Northeast, Cat Ba Archipelago and Lan Ha Bay in the South and the East. To plan your trip wisely and wondrously, check out this guide to get all the must-have information for the upcoming journey to “the land of descending dragon”.
- Sung Sot Cave - The cave can be found on the island of Bo Hon, along with another popular Halong cave, Trinh Nu. From the dock below, visitors must climb 50 stairs to the grotto’s mouth, which is just 25 meters above the sea. Sung Sot Cave is divided into two chambers; the first chamber, known as the “Waiting Room” is vast, adorned by stalagmites and stalactites and lit by multicolored lights positioned to complement the chamber’s structural beauty.
- Ti Top Island - Ti Top island is located about 14 kilometers to the east of Bai Chay tourist harbor. It has a beach that is shaped like a crescent moon and known for its tranquility and beautiful still blue waters. The sands of the beach have been dyed white by the ocean’s surf creating a perfect picture of paradise.
- Hang Luon Cave - Luon Cave is a part of Bo Hon Island, which is about 14 kilometers from the mainland of Bai Chay City. Known as the island of amazing things, Bo Hon Island is an outstanding location in Halong Bay that most tourists choose as a nextstop on their way discovering Halong Bay.
The surrounding area of Luon Cave comprises a lot of well-known places of interest in Halong Bay. In front of Luon Cave is Con Rua Island (Turtle Island), and on the right of this cave is the Heaven Gate. Not only that, in the area of Bo Hon Island is Sung Sot Cave, which is the most magnificent cave in Halong Bay. Tien Cave and Trinh Nu Cave are also famous caves in Halong Bay in the area near Luon Cave.
- Hon Ga Choi Island - Fighting Cocks Islet is located in the southwest of Halong Bay, approximately 5km from Bai Chay Tourism Wharf. Fighting Cocks Islet includes two limestone islets in which one looks like a rooster while another has the shape of a hen. Each of these islets has the length of around 10 meters. With different imagination, some says that these cocks are fighting, on the other hand, the others think they are kissing.
Rising from the emerald water, Fighting Cocks Islet has stood there thousands years ago. The islet is made symbol of not only Halong Bay but also Vietnam tourism. Hence, it has become the creative inspiration for photographers, painters, and artists.
