Exceptional - We had the best day! Tu, our guide was exceptional. From start to finish he made the day just super. He made time for everyone on the tour, and made it so fun. Can’t fault him at all! The boat was beautiful and all staff on the boat were fab, the whole tour was great. Views were beautiful too. Highly recommend, we loved it! Huge thanks to Tu again. You were amazing!

Excellent Trip and excellent guide. - Robert Hung was our tour guide today and he was very helpful and made the trip very enjoyable. The trip was a great experience with lots to do and we never felt rushed or short on time. The boat was great and the food was great too. Overall the whole experience of Halong Bay was exceptional and I would highly recommend it.

Cruise, guide, food all good - The tour is amazing and our guide Robert Hung is super nice and helpful. Food is also good. Only thing is too crowded everywhere full of different groups in the whole trip but I guess that’s usual as Ha Long Bay is so popular

Day Tour - Food and Drinks Warning and Tips - Positives: The journey began with a comfortable limousine bus transfer, making for a smooth and pleasant ride. Both the bus and the boat were clean and well-maintained, with tidy interiors throughout. The tour guide was knowledgeable and punctual, ensuring the schedule was followed efficiently. The destinations visited were scenic and enjoyable (although credit for this goes to nature, not the tour company). Additionally, the boat staff were courteous and helpful, contributing to a positive overall experience. Negatives: Unfortunately, several aspects of the tour were disappointing. 1. Unnecessary Stopovers: On the way to the destination, the bus made an unscheduled 30-minute stop under the pretext of demonstrating pearl farming. While the demonstration itself lasted barely five minutes, the remainder of the time was wasted navigating through a maze of high-end jewelry, clothing, and souvenir shops — clearly aimed at encouraging tourist spending rather than offering value. Similarly, on the return journey, the group was subjected to another 20-minute break at an overpriced convenience store and restaurant. Expect to pay 8-10 times the actual price here. 2. Food Quality: A major letdown was the buffet onboard. The food had been laid out well before guests arrived, left exposed in an air-conditioned environment without any heating. As a result, the fries, sausages, and cheese fingers were cold and rubbery. This is far from acceptable for a cruise advertised as 5-star. The overall food quality was subpar and disappointing. 3. Beverage Pricing – A Warning: While it was clear that beverages weren’t included in the package, it was shocking to find that even basic drinking water wasn’t complimentary. We had to pay 150,000 VND for five cans of water — approximately 1.5 liters — which would typically cost around 15,000 VND. This exploitative pricing feels like a tourist trap, especially after guests return dehydrated from the hiking treks. Note: Guests are not allowed to bring their own water bottles, as single-use plastics are banned — a commendable environmental move, but one that should be clearly communicated in advance. I recommend bringing a reusable water bottle or, if necessary, discreetly packing a 1.5-liter bottle in your backpack (and responsibly disposing of it later — never in the bay).
