A lovely way to discover Hanoi - Sam was a really knowledgeable and friendly guide. We covered quite a few locations in about 3-4 hours. The ride is not physically strenuous, but Vietnam's traffic is quite scary. And I'm from India, so that's saying some thing. The coffee and breakfast to round off the trip were also excellent.

Bicycle Tour of Hanoi City with BC Family - My husband and I did a morning bicycle tour of Hanoi city with BC Family on 26 October at 5:30 in the morning. Our guide was travel expert, Sam. Usually, they conduct this tour in a group of 5-6 people. But, we were lucky to get a personal tour of the city with Sam. While cycling, Sam also gave us useful information about the history and culture of people of Vietnam. In my opinion, cycling is the best way to see Hanoi especially to get a slice of the way of life of the people of Hanoi. The trip also included a meal of a warm bowl of pho and egg coffee. I would definitely recommend doing this cycling tour with the BC Family. Worth the value of money. They also helped us book our bus tickets to and fro Tam Coc and the taxi to the airport.

Amazing experience and we survived the Hanoi traffic! - A tour that has to be done. Our guide was late so the HCMN flag rising had already started. If you are a slow cyclist you wouldn't have made it in time. Such an amazing experience in the Hanoi traffic but our guide did go off a bit too far ahead a few times. Loved the places we cycled to. A must DO

Amazing experieince, we survived Hanoi traffic! - Early start but seems most of Hanoi are up by 5.30am anyway. Only just made it to HCMN flag raising as we were late being picked up, any slow cyclists would have missed it. Amazing experience cycling in the traffic as its chaos, "organised chaos" as it works. To cycle amongst it was amazing. Loved everywhere we went. Our guide went off going ahead too far a few times. Totally recommend this tour just to say you SURVIVED!

A Unique Experience for the Early Birds! - Le Xuan (Sam) was an excellent tour guide! He ensured I was safe, gave a good overview of the history of some of the sights we visited, and was very personable! It was also wonderful to get to know him on a personal level. Below are a few things one should take note of about the tour: 1. Expect to wake up early ... it's a morning bike tour after all! I was picked up at 5:30AM, but I went in knowing the start time. 2. You're going to sweat especially if you're nervous about having to bike through traffic on a narrow street when Hanoi starts to get busy (unless you don't sweat :) ) 3. There will be light traffic during the early hours, which making cycling through the city a unique experience. You'll be able to witness how the Vietnamese people get their exercise on during the early hours. 4. You'll stop a few times along the way to take in some of the sights, and Sam will likely snap a few shots of you. 5. You will get to experience the side of Hanoi that most people don't especially when Sam takes you to where some of the locals live.

It was amazing! - My tour guide, Sam, was knowledgeable and friendly. Also he kept a good place and I never felt rushed. His family has several charity projects in Hanoi and he took me to areas I never would have seen on a regular tour. I was the only one on my tour, and that can be awkward, but Sam made it A very comfortable experience. We were able to customize it just for me - he took me to thenoodle place Obama and Bourdain wento and a beautiful Pagoda I wanted to see. I was so impressed that I signed up for a second tour the next day and will probably comeback to volunteer with his family's organization. I would recommend this tour to anyone.

Highly recommended! - Seeing Hanoi waking up was a great experience! The guide Sam (Luong) was not rushing and giving enough time and info to wonder, understand and enjoy. I definitely got a better feeling about how people live in Vietnam (from morning sports over spiritual routines and, of course, food). Cycling was also a nice way to explore: much easier to move with the flow than trying to find a path as pedestrian (although it doesn't hurt if you have some cycling routine because the traffic will need all your attention). I also liked that the company supports community projects. The only thing that could be improved is to mention the rough pick-up time already in the tour description (05:30am!) and then inform participants one day in advance of the exact pick-up time. I had already spent some time in Hanoi and was looking for a tour that would give me a new perspective. Thanks to Sam, mission accomplished! Highly recommended!

crazy traffic - Wow what can i say ? I did consider it a bit dangerous and took all the precautions and it was fun. pros : once in a life time experience lots of places you cannot see by day in hanoi like the train in train street the riverside the raise of the flag, flower market, banana island and lots of locals and the hustle and bustle of the morning. : great ride amongst the sbusy and dangerous streets of hanoi (until 8 its ok ) good guide and very good english cons : would have been safer if we had a light on the bike early morning. : a person at the back of the group is a must ( i got hit by a motorbike and nobody new until i reached the group who was taking photos
