Longlink Traditional Water Puppet Show - Watching a water puppet show
The 1-hour show is taken place in Thang Long Water Puppet Theatre and comprises 17 short sketches with the use of traditional puppets. Shows are played by a Vietnamese orchestra that accompanies stories, and musicians play songs using wooden bells, drums, bamboo flutes, cymbals, and horns.
You don’t have to be a child to be entertained by water puppets. Vietnam’s water puppetry opens a window into local culture, and is a fully realised art form enjoyed by young and old. Little time in Ha Noi? Do this tour! - Chúong was great - and so knowledgeable about history, with perfect English. The entire tour was great. It was a boiling hot day in Hanoi and I wouldn’t have been able to see what I saw without this tour - and air conditioned bus!
