Countryside motorcycle tour - Properly September is not the best time to go as saw the aftermath of the typhoon Hanoi went thru. However I still enjoy the motorbike ride. John was out tour guide and rider as well. Speak good English and highly recommend him as a tour guide.

Perfect break from the chaos of the city - It was so much fun. Our guides Duke Hannah are knowledgeable, friendly, and warm. The food was good and they ensure you get enough breaks and cold water. They’re always happy to help. It’s great if you want to see a different side of Hanoi.

Amazing Countryside Tour - Had the motorcycle tour today and it was great. The country side has a totally different view than in the crowded Hanoi City Center. Very soothing and a relaxing atmosphere. My guide Duke kept the tour entertaining and was well informed on various topics. If you come to Hanoi, I would definitely recommend this tour. Thanks again Duke!

I felt like I had a short but strong taste of Hanoi. The food, the scenery, and the guide are the best! - Before leaving for Korea, I applied because I wanted to travel even for a short time, but I'm very satisfied. The local road to the pottery village is very cool and exciting. Thank you so much for bringing me a nice hidden restaurant with a nice atmosphere!

Fun half-day trip! - Requested for a tour 2 days in advance and HBT accommodated the request with prompt responses. John waited patiently to pick me up in the morning, and made sure that everything was perfect during the tour. I had an enjoyable ride on the Vespa and trying out pottery at Bat Trang.

Pleasant trip to ceramics area - We spent a pleasant afternoon with D and C on motorbikes visiting the Bat Trang ceramics village. Bat Trang is still within Hanoi, so it really isn't the countryside, but it was a very interesting place to visit anyway. The ceramics are absolutely beautiful, and Duke explained the process to us very well. From there, we visited an elderly war veteran in his beautiful old place in Bat Trang. The trip to his place was amazing through a maze of super narrow alley ways! It was interesting to learn about the history of his place and share a cup of delicious local tea with him. After that we tried our hand at pottery throwing. I wasn't very successful but had fun nonetheless. We then visited a local market specialising in ceramics and if you needed some china for home or as gifts, there was so much variety there would be bound to be something there for you at a reasonable price. We then sampled sugar juice and you guessed it, it was very sweet. It was then time to return, and it was a super fast and (for me) slightly hairy ride back. C, my rider had to make an extra effort to keep up with the leader, D, who was often quite a way in front, on the busy roads back into the city. I would recommend this tour if you have an interest in pottery and learning how the locals live. It's not really a tour "in the countryside," though. Thanks so much, D and C for showing us around Bat Trang and sharing such interesting information with us. We wish you guys all the best.
