- Chua Tran Quoc - Tran Quoc, or “Defending Pagoda,” is a sacred Buddhist site on Tay Ho’s pearl island. With a history of nearly 1500 years, it is considered the oldest pagoda in Thang Long - Hanoi. During the Ly and Tran dynasties, it was the Buddhist center of Thang Long citadel.
- Ba Dinh Square - The heart of Ba Dinh district and the Ho Chi Minh complex, this political center is the “brain” of Vietnam, spanning over 20 hectares. It includes administrative buildings, the central office of the Communist Party, the government building, and the Presidential Palace. Ba Dinh Square is a heritage site where President Ho Chi Minh declared independence on September 2, 1945. Nearby is the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the National Assembly building, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters.
- The Flag Tower Of Hanoi (cột Cờ Ha Nội) - A symbol of Hanoi, this tower was part of the Hanoi Citadel, a World Heritage Site. Built between 1805 and 1812 during the Nguyen dynasty, it served as an observation post. Unlike many structures, it survived the French invasion and was used as a military post. It is now part of the Vietnam Military History Museum.
- Hanoi Old Citadel - Northern Gate - The Northern Gate (Cua Bac) on Phan Dinh Phung Street is the only remaining gate of Hanoi. It has a tragic history with two battles against French colonialists. Now a tourist attraction and historical relic, it offers insights into Hanoi’s history.
