Highlights
  • Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum - Part 1: Hanoi Highlights: (2 hours) The tour guide and driver will warmly welcome guests at the hotel lobby before heading to the Ho Chi Minh Complex. Here, visitors will enjoy a brief visit to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, a revered site for the Vietnamese, along with Ba Dinh Square, the Presidential Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s Residential area, and the One Pillar Pagoda.

  • Temple of Literature & National University - Following the Ho Chi Minh Complex, the tour proceeds to the Temple of Literature, a 1000-year-old iconic structure in Hanoi, offering insights into Vietnam’s rich cultural and historical heritage.

  • Hai Ba Trung Temple - Part 2: Hanoi Hidden Gems: (2.5 hours)

Discover the lesser-known areas of Hanoi by navigating through a labyrinth of winding backstreets, narrow alleyways, and bustling markets. Immerse yourself in the vibrant flow of motorbikes and the unique sounds of Hanoi’s street life. Engage all your senses: observing, listening, touching, tasting, and smiling. Experience the diverse aspects of the city, embracing its authenticity. Witness different facets of life behind the scenes, exploring the hidden parts of the city. Connect with locals in their everyday environments, fostering personal connections and cultural exchanges.

*Note: The visit focuses on the Hai Ba Trung Temple area, providing a glimpse into this part of Hanoi, without the need to visit additional temples on the trip.

  • Long Bien Bridge - Long Biên Bridge, the oldest iron bridge in Vietnam, was constructed in 1889 by the French colonialists. Despite its modern architectural heritage, it embodies national identity, with its design resembling a dragon soaring over the Red River, a cultural symbol of Hà Nội. A brief walk here offers a fantastic perspective of Hanoi for photography, and the tour also includes a visit to the countryside to explore the serene villages and farms surrounding the city.

  • Hidden Gem Coffee - Quán Cà Phê Tái Chế - This charming coffee shop is nestled in the heart of Hanoi’s Old Quarter. All the furniture is ingeniously crafted from recycled materials. Brilliant Backstreet Tours of Hanoi and surrounds!!! - My daughter and I booked the full day Ninh Binh & Tam Coc tour with Backstreet Tours. Their level of contact prior to the tour was perfect and professional. The tour itself was absolutely excellent. Our guide Leo was funny, attentive, and informative. It was quite a hot day and we were driven around in an air conditioned van and provided cold water and iced wet wipes which were very much appreciated by all group members each time we got back in the vehicle. Leo also kept us informed on how manage street vendors and what was culturally appropriate. 100% recommend these guys, so much so we booked a 2 1/2 hour motorbike tour of Hanoi. Our tour guide Five was brilliant, funny, informative and attentive also. He, along with the three other riders/drivers Mike, Hau & Nui were just awesome!!! Do yourself a favour and book any of the tours with Backstreet Tours…you WILL NOT be disappointed!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Top motorcycle tour! Must do - Great motorcycle tour in a small group. Super nice to see the local life in addition to the highlights outside old quarter and they drive through the narrow streets! Kai was a great guide of our group and Bucky my rider was very sociable! Definitely recommended

Why you should enjoy Hanoi in a short time - If you want to feel the city of Hanoi for a short stay, it is not easy to find a tour that can be enjoyed by one person or a family, but I think this tour is recommended for both bike jeeps. (i) The tour guide is a vibrant member ② It is efficient because it goes through all the places of interest and historic sites ③ Meals and seasoning served on the tour are devised Vinh maintains a reasonable distance from me as a Japanese, and is fluent in Japanese and is a recommended guide.

Hanoi by motorbike - Great tour with Han, Snow, Nui and Hau. Seeing the city from the back of a motorbike is the best way - this is how most people travel and is the quickest by far! We drove around the city, saw lots of places and stopped for the Ho Chi Minh Complex and Temple of Literature, amongst others. Really enjoyed talking about the more recent history of the country. Thoroughly recommend!

A MUST DO EXPERIENCE.!! - This is a MUST do. What a fantastic afternoon we had. Our pilots Snow and Sun picked us up at our hotel at lunch time. My wife not being a bike person was put at ease straight away with Snows amazing personality and bike skills. My pilot Sun was a legend. Negotiated the traffic as tour leader with the utmost of skill. We had traditional lunch and plenty of it at a totally hidden gem. We were then taken on tour to see the highlights of the city including train street for the train to run past. We also were lucky enough to see the other side of the city. The real life sections outside the tourist bubble. Our guide Lewis (hope that's spelt correctly) was a wealth of knowledge, humour and endless love for his country. We learnt so much regarding history, traditions and lifestyles from him in a few hours. The staff we were with today are an absolute asset to the company as they made everyone on the tour feel safe and welcomed. Wish I could give 10 stars. WE LOVED IT. THANK YOU.
