• Old Quarter - 8:00-8:30 AM: The tour guide from AZ Local Trip will pick you and your group up from your hotel or the designated meeting point in Hanoi Old Quarter. The drive to Ninh Binh takes about 2 hours, covering a distance of approximately 105 km south of Hanoi. On the way, there will be a stop in Dong Van, Ha Nam Province for a short break.
• Hoa Lu District - Upon arrival in Hoa Lu, our English-speaking tour guide will lead you through the area. Hoa Lu served as the capital of Vietnam during the 10th and 11th centuries. The region features rice fields interspersed with picturesque limestone mountains. The ancient capital spanned 300 hectares (3.0 km²), including both the Inner and Outer Citadels, with defensive earthen walls, palaces, temples, and shrines, all surrounded by limestone mountains. Although the ancient citadel no longer stands, visitors can explore temples dedicated to Emperors Dinh Tien Hoang and Le Dai Hanh, their sons, and Queen Duong Van Nga.
• Tuyet Tinh Coc - 10:20 AM: We will visit Tuyet Tinh Coc, known as “Endless Love Heaven” by the Vietnamese. You will have free time to enjoy the stunning views after climbing 200 steps.
• Ninh Binh - Next, we will visit Am Tien Cave (Động Am Tiên) and the ancient pagoda, or another pagoda located within a cave in the middle of the mountain.
• Tam Coc Road - At 11:50 AM, enjoy a local lunch. You can board the bus to a local restaurant in Tam Coc for a buffet lunch featuring Ninh Binh specialties such as goat meat and burnt rice.
• Tam Coc - 1:30 PM: Board a private sampan to row through the three famous caves in Tam Coc (Hang Ca, Hang Hai, and Hang Ba). These caves are adorned with beautiful and colorful stalactites and stalagmites. After visiting Tam Coc, you will have the opportunity to ride a bicycle around Tam Coc town and its villages.
• Bich Dong Pagoda - After a 2-hour boat trip on the Ngo Dong River, we will return to the Tam Coc dock. You can then relax and enjoy an hour of cycling on quiet roads through villages, rice fields, rivers, and rocky outcrops in Tam Coc - Bich Dong (approximately 5 km).
• Lake of the Restored Sword (Hoan Kiem Lake) - We will drive back to Hanoi and drop you off at your hotel or the same meeting point in the Old Quarter around 6:30 PM.
• AZ Local Trip - Bid farewell to your guide and driver. The trip concludes!
