Best travel guide - A few days ago I was allowed to experience this tour. Essential to success, the guidebook Mr. Minh contributed. He knows the locations and the history of the individual squares and their stories and can convey them excellently in English. No question remained unanswered. After the lively Hanoi you can catch your breath at the latest during the calm rowing trip. A day to treat yourself when visiting Vietnam.

Very peaceful and interesting day. Minh was a great Guide. - Really good day out. If you’re wanting more peace and quiet rather than the crazy city of Hanoi then this is a great option. Minh met us at our hotel and a bus took us to the river. A peaceful journey up the river with nice views of the mountains either side. Minh was very smiley, happy man and very passionate about his home town. He had lots of information on everything you would want to know about the temples, pagodas, area and the people there. He showed us lots of photos of it being crazy busy in January, February and March when the religious festival is on. So if you don’t like the big crowds then maybe skip it during that time. The Cable car was brilliant and a huge cave at the top where the pagoda is. Very quiet and religious places but nice to see their culture and lifestyles in this part of the world.
