Worth it - If you want to experience Sapa landscape in a less touristic area and don’t have time to spend 2 days there, this is your tour. I’ts intense and many hours of travel but worth it!

Daytrip to beautiful Pu Luong region - We took a day trip to the Ph Luong Region from Hanoi. Although our accommodation was slightly outside the old quarter, we were picked up from the front door. It was only the two of us, but they still did the tour. The driver took us to Mai Chau view point, where we met our guide Quach Tan, who grew up in the region. It was market day, so we made a spontaneous stop and had a look around and learned something about the local herbs and vegetables. We then went to Pu Luong and had a walk down to the village and on to the bat cave, which was very impressive. After lunch at a local home stay (vegan and vegetarian possible), we drove along beautiful rice Terraces and went trekking in a valley with small, old villages and many rice fields. After a tea break, the driver took us back to Hanoi. On the way we got to see some more fantastic rice terraces. We had a great time!

Amazing trip for us - Let me make it simple, choose this Puluong tour to get highlights of mountain life in Vietnam. I saw the reserve was much more scenic, peaceful and less touristy. The people in Pu Luong are just wonderful, with beautiful "ethnic minorities" clothes and their own languages. Pure delight. It is a very lovely area!
