A beautiful walking food tour in Hanoi - This walking food tour was amazing from start to finish. We were met by our fabulous host Lien in the Old Quarter before heading off on a foodies paradise of different Vietnamese foods. Lien tailored the food to our likes, but also we got to try some things that we have never had before. You definitely need to bring your appetite because there is a lot of food. Me and my wife shared all of our dishes and still couldn’t eat it all. Lien was great company, very easy to talk to and had a very friendly personality. Highly recommended!

Ruby is the best! - Ruby was absolutely wonderful and made my son and I feel more at home in this beautiful city! From showing us how to cross the street, to future recommendations on where to eat and what to see or do, this was money well spent. Not to mention the treat of being taken to multiple Michelin star restaurants, she even helped us get a ride back to our hotel in the pouring rain!

The best way to experience the prolific Hanoi Food scene - In a city with an overwhelming number of food and beverage choices, there is only one good option and that is to choose Lien as your guide Through the labyrinth of streets and food options. Her knowledge is unrivalled and her passion unparalleled! We had the most amazing vegan and pescatarian options offered to our family to cater for us all. We cannot wait to return to try the many options that we skipped on this trip (mainly because we were too full to eat any more!) Lien’s communication in advance of meeting us was excellent and she sent us recommendations when we left. An absolutely sensational way to spend a very rainy and wet evening in the Old Quarter.

Such an incredible unique tour! - This is hands down the best tour out there! You really get a feel for what life is like for a local outside of the big city. Manh did an excellent job guiding, teaching & relating personally to us. She took great care in helping us understand what life in rural Hanoi is like. Explaining the cultural, the market, farming, housing, marriage & so much more. The best part was going back to her personal home to teach my husband & I how to make four amazing dishes She actually went a step above by granting my request to teach us how to make my favorite Vietnamese dish! The food was amazing & even won me over to become a pho lover! I’ve always thought pho was fine, but nothing that exciting. Manh’s homemade pho was literally the best I’ve ever had and now I’m excited to go home and make it for my family & friends! I seriously think this was the highlight of our three week trip to Thailand and Vietnam & we saw/did a lot of incredible things!!

Ruby gave us alternatives - My daughter and I picked Ruby to help us with our food tour in Hanoi. We told her that we came from a big city with a massive Vietnamese population so could easily and regularly get pho and banh mi at home. We didn’t want those on our tour. We wanted to understand Vietnamese food at a deeper level given our prior exposure. Ruby accommodated us. We went to a restaurant that served eel soups and dishes. We had the dried eel with glass noodles (yes we’re fine with eel!). At another place, we tried dried pho ga (chicken) which I’d never heard of before- ie the dried part, not the chicken part. Will be looking for that one at home! We had bun cha at a Michelin select restaurant and lots of tasty things along the way including rice rolls, those were a fav. And to finish, we had Kem Bo (avocado ice cream). Sure, it’s trendy but we wanted to try it and Ruby accommodated us. To top it off, Ruby helped us figure out the timing for Train Street on another day. Thanks, Ruby!

Highlight of Hanoi! - Anne was AMAZING! She took us to truly authentic street food spots in Hanoi, including places we would have never known about or had the courage to try ourselves. But Anne was fantastic & talked us through all of the Do’s & Don’ts of Hanoi’s Street Food scene. Our only regret is that we wish we had done the tour with her on the first day not the last, then we could’ve enjoyed more of the delicious food stops that she showed us! Anne was a delight to be around, such fun & does street food tours, cultural & history tours so was so knowledgeable of Hanoi on all topics! Couldn’t recommend an afternoon with Anne any higher!

Sampling Hanoi’s many delights with Brian - Day one in Hanoi and we were hot, bothered and overwhelmed but Brian magically steered us through this chaos with information about Vietnam’s history and culture as well as taking us to what seemed like dozens of restaurants and street stalls. Brian was able to explain the cooking processes and ingredients of the extensive array of dishes we tried. He tailored the tour to our food preferences to ensure we were comfortable with his menu choices. He’s also a great conversationalist, so after my wife finished with the foodie questions we were able to cover many other topics while sampling Hanoi’s many delights. I don’t know how we kept eating, drinking and walking for nearly four hours but we did! It was a great night out.

Food Tour - Hanoi with Lien - Lien was wonderful. Communicative, pleasant, knowledgeable and friendly. She customized the tour to our preferences and took us to places that we would not have otherwise known to select - as they were all very local. Would do it again!
