Insightful experience learning about Vietnamese culture - The trip was very educational, providing insight into the traditional crafts and culture of Vietnam. My two girls (aged 8 and 10) had a lot of fun painting their own hats, and we enjoyed watching the demonstration by our host of how to make the hats. We left with a deep sense of awe and respect for the artisans. Our tour guide Rachel was very knowledgeable and clear as she introduced the crafts and the artisans to us, and she made sure to explain how these practices were part of Vietnamese culture. She was also very friendly and helped to make everyone feel comfortable. Personally I would have liked to spend more time at the hats village ane less time at the incense village, but that is probably just my own preference :). I also want to say that the driver was amazing for navigating narrow roads and rush hour traffic. Kudos to him!

A day exploring local crafts outside Hanoi - Really good day trip with a small group in a private car. Our guide Bob was knowledgeable and well organized. Plus he had good English and he recommended a good pho place for lunch. All good

It's a great tour. - It was my first experience tour with my family. We had a chance to experience lacquering in the studio of a famous painter, then visit an incense manufacturing village, where we explained the manufacturing process and took pictures of the photogenic arid landscape of incense, and finally, we had a chance to experience painting hats at the home of a teacher who is making Vietnamese hats. Lunch was very delicious with homemade homemade dishes at the teacher's house. The Guides were very kind and helpful in explaining. They also provided ice cream and water, and always made sure the tour guests enjoyed their trip. The tour was impeccably well-attended and the Guides were excellent.

It was wonderful tour - Hanoi, which I have visited many times, was the first time I went on tour alone. If you want to go there yourself, I think it's convenient to join the tour because it's a bit of a hurdle. It was a pain to go to the photo spot by myself, but the Guides cared about me throughout and it was a great tour.

A must do! - A fantastic and really informative tour. Rachel, the tour guide, explained everything very well. It was fascinating to see how they made the traditional items. Being able to take part and try out making them was fantastic and getting our conical hat as a souvenir was great. The lunch that was provided was absolutely delicious and there was a lot of food! I would highly recommend this tour.

Disappointing - The rv at the agency was at 11:30, after going around the hotels to pick up all the participants, we left Hanoi only at 12:45. The visit to the hat factory was rather succinct, it was the only one in the village actually, and very small. We are offered to paint on hats already made. For the second visit, the making of incense, we assume a field of incense sticks in small bundles, in fact it is very small. The driver went the wrong way three times. The activity was a bit expensive for what is proposed.
