Highlights
  • Old Quarter - 18:00 Our mainly female drivers and tour guide of Motorbike City Tours will meet you at your hotel lobby for a safety briefing and detailed itinerary of your journey. We use a fleet of brand new Honda Lead scooters equipped with passenger backrests for comfort, you feel like you are in a lounge chair, not hanging on tightly as some bikes you may do.
The first stage of our Hanoi By Night Foodie Motorbike Tours, we stop at local eatery Hanoians claim is the best spot for Banh Cuon (steamed rolled cake) in town. The skilled chef will demonstrate for us how the ingredients are put together as we get to experience a front row seat to the culinary process. Our tour continues weaving through the streets bathed in the glow of colorful lanterns and decorative lights in the Old Quarter as we ride along the bank of the Red River to take in the views of Hanoi under the cover of night.
  • Long Bien Bridge - The second stage of our Hanoi By Night Foodie Motorbike Tours leads us to one of Hanoi’s most prominent family run restaurants where you will get to enjoy Bun Cha( grilled pork with vermicelli noodle). You’ll be taken on a ride over to West Lake to enjoy the scenery before arriving at Ngu Xa village to try Freshly grilled seafood and some different Hanoian version of Pho and Banana salads and other traditional Vietnamese dishes.
  • Ba Dinh Square - The third stage of our Hanoi By Night Foodie Motorbike Tours, you will be taken past the Ho Chi Minh memorial where guards can be seen performing their nightly ceremonies. Nothing captures the reverence and sanctity that the Vietnamese hold for Ho Chi Minh more than these nightly ceremonies. Following, we will head into the densely packed streets of Hanoi to the train tracks where locals cook, relax, and sell their wares. It is a bustling alley full of locals going about their nightly lives, right next to active train tracks!
  • Train Street - The last stage of our Hanoi By Night Foodie Motorbike Tours winds down with a stop to a popular cafe to try the famous Vietnamese egg coffee and a top secret desert which you only know when you travel with us! First invented in 1946, it’s a delicacy of whipped egg yolk with sugar and condensed milk for sweetness, and just a drop of vinegar to fluff the eggs. This is floated on top of a shot of espresso and dusted with cocoa powder. The end result is a coffee experience like no other, and a taste and texture reminiscent of tiramisu. or enjoy yummy Mango Pudding and Caramel dessert in place popular with locals.

A must do to see the real Hanoi - This was THE highlight of our trip to Hanoi. The drivers were so friendly and knowledgeable and we ate so well (and so much!). We had 4 kids with us 11-13 and they didn’t want the night to end. Summi and her team took so much care of us making sure we felt safe and had fun. If you want to see the real Hanoi with fun and friendly locals you should do this tour!

Best experience in Hanoi! - We had the best time ever on this tour! My 2 sons who are 8 and 10 absolutely loved every second and our guides Summi, Shang, Lan Anh & Dan were fantastic and a wealth of information. Dan was so great with my 8 year old, they talked about gaming on the bike (😂) while my hubby and I got super interesting info about Hanoi and Vietnam. The food stops were great and my kids tried every single food on offer. We all felt safe at every moment. It is honestly one of the most fun things we have ever done. 😄

Core Memory Unlocked - Booked this last minute and it was one of the coolest things I’ve ever experienced! Zipping through Hanoi from the crowded congested streets to the residential back alleys- I felt like I was able to see so much of the city in just a few hours. An and Emma were such amazing guides (and drivers!!) and the food spots they brought us to were all super delicious. Some of the places felt very locals-only and we probably wouldn’t have found them if not for this tour. An and Emma are also very knowledgeable of the country’s history so this had everything from food, culture, and sightseeing. Also a major plus is An and Emma are just genuinely fun and kind people. Highly recommend doing this!

First Night Food Tour - We did the tour our first night in Hanoi & it was the perfect choice! Summi & Happy were our tour guides and they let us on the BEST adventure. They were on time picky us up, gave a good little safety brief before hopping on the scooter, and were expert navigators. Although the traffic in Hanoi is complicated, we both felt very comfortable with their skills. The food at each stop was so very good. It felt like each bite was better than the last. Summi did great explaining some history and how to eat each dish. Go on an empty stomach as there is no shortage of food and you want to be able to enjoy it all. From beginning to end, food, safety, and Summi & Happy were all top notch. Highly recommend!

She has brilliant English. This tour is sooo worth the money 5 different courses in five places and the train street with a beer. The food is the absolute best weve tasted. Great way to experience Hanoi - Did this trip on our first night in Hanoi. Neither of us (50yo) ride motorbikes. Had Summi and Dan as our guides. Jump on and hold your breath. The traffic is as crazy as it looks but Summi and Dan were excellent riders and got us from place to place with ease. Food options were excellent and a great introduction to Hanoi cuisine. Included a coffee stop in Train Street for an evening train. Highly recommended even if you haven’t ridden a bike before. Just do it.
