Great tour - Aaron our driver was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the island and even added a bonus stop at a chocolate factory. He also offered to stop for anything we needed along the way. The encounter was great. Not rushed and got plenty of time with the animals. All in all, an excellent experience. Highly recommend.

AMAZING - My mom and I had an amazing time here! It was the highlight of our trip! Howie was a wonderful guide and he explained everything very well! Johnny was also very friendly and knowledgeable about the sloths! I highly recommend this tour! We didn’t want to leave! Cardi B and Sophia (sloths) were so cute! Loved that the monkeys got to jump all over us too!

Manawakie - Great Experience - Fernando, our driver, picked us up from our hotel in West Bay to take us to the park. We could not have asked for a better, more knowledgeable and personable guide. He was fantastic and went above and beyond showing us the island and pointing out its history. When we arrived at the park, we were introduced to Orie, our guide at the park. We couldn’t have been more pleased - he was also very personable and knowledgeable about the history and culture of Roatan. Orie took his time and made sure all of our questions were answered. He gave us a safety briefing about the animals, not only for our sake but for the sake of the animals. It was evident he cared deeply for each one of them. The whole experience was awesome!

Best excursion ever! - Orie was fantastic! All of the staff were fantastic and this was my family’s favorite stop of our whole vacation. It was an incredible experience and I would live there if I could!

Highly recommend - Our guide, Jonathan, was phenomenal! He went above and beyond and made our excursion so memorable! I felt like I was getting a personal tour of the island. If you get a chance to book with Manawakie Park and Jonathan, I highly recommend it!

Amazing experience with sloths and more! - Absolutely amazing experience! Out guide Kevin Brown was knowledgeable, friendly, patient. All of the staff were friendly and kind. The sloths, monkeys and macaws were gentle and easy to interact with. -Amazing adventure for all ages!

Fun experience! - A very cool experience! Aaron, our driver and guide for the day was amazing. Nice, easy to talk to, knowledgeable and just made it a very fun and comfortable experience. My favorite part was cuddling with a sloth, although it was very short, but still cool. The monkeys were super fun. My boys both loved this part. They climbed all over people. Sat on my head and tried to take my clip out (he was not successful) one sat on my son’s shoulder and just played in his hair for a while (he has great thick hair). It was really fun and different from anything we have ever done. The place is small and there were a lot of people. They should really expand the facility. Based on the number of people they had come in, it seems like it should be possible. My only complaint would be the group size. We had 25ish in our group. It should have been split in two, at least. But overall, I would absolutely recommend this. It was fun, funny and different from anything we have ever done before. The staff were also all very friendly.

Not to be missed - After an initial mix up with the time of the pick up from our hotel, we had a very enjoyable morning with Aaron our driver pointing out sites of interest on the car rides and was very chatty. The staff at Manawakie were super helpful as I use a wheelchair, I can walk a few steps, it wouldn’t be possible to enjoy all the animals if you couldn’t do that. The staff gave us information about the sloths, monkeys and the macaw. As it was very quiet we had a really long hold of the sloth and play with the monkeys. The staff were in no rush to move us along, such a very different experience from other close encounters with animals, which has been a 30 second photo shot. If you are staying on the island I would suggest you check out the days that cruise ships are visiting and choose a day were there aren’t any, to avoid queuing and crowds, and you may, like us, have the place to yourselves.

Did not visit port - We did not dock. We request a refund. We were on the NCL Prima. We do have a cruise in 2025 that visits your port. Is it possible to use our tour then?
