Worth the money - We had a family of four with two grandparents. The driver and our guide were amazing. My son and I went to go ziplinging while the other four went to hug some sloaths and see the wildlife. Jamar and Diego were awesome. They went above and beyond. When we ended the tour they even offered to bring us to a local bar but we decided to just walk around ourselves. My son left his Toronto blue jays hat in the van and they offered to even bring that back. We actually had this booked last year but the ship changed ports at the last minute. Alex returned our deposit for that trip and so we booked it again this year. It was around 400 for six people and it is totally worth it. We had a private driver the whole day. Book it though them directly and not through the cruise ship. Thanks Jamar and Diego.

Most bang for your buck & reliable. - Jorge our personal driver and guide for the day was amazing! He was so kind and friendly and we really enjoyed our time with him. He walked us to our own personal car, took us to the monkey and sloth sanctuary. We spent as much time there as we wanted and he let us keep all of our belongings in the car while we explored. He dropped us off at the zipline and said he would meet us at the bottom - which he did. He then took us to the chocolate factory and rum cake shop. Both were incredible and he even took some photos for us. After we were done he took us to west bay beach where he waited for us until we wanted to leave. He even brought us to a restaurant and got us some beach chairs which is normally an extra $15/person but we didn't have to pay it. He was so reliable and took us anywhere we wanted to go. This was a great day exploring the island. I would recommend this excursion if you want a personal driver who is knowledgeable about the island and will take you anywhere you want to go. No wait and no big tour groups or buses and you get the most bang for your buck!

Private excursion for 2! - What a wonderful excursion. We were picked up by Fabrice right outside the cruise ship dock. We were taken by car to a high point on the island so that we could get some beautiful pictures and do a little shopping. All throughout the excursion he answered our questions and told us about Roatan. Then we went to see the monkeys and sloth and do the zip line. It was awesome to have such a personalized experience. It rained off and all all day but Fabrice provided umbrellas and got us as close as possible to each place. We spent the rainy time in the chocolate and rum factories. We decided that we didn’t want to go to the beach due to weather so Fabrice took us to an awesome cafe with a beautiful view and wonderful food. We will definitely request Fabrice again on our next Roatan excursion!!

Fantastic Tour Guide - On December 26, our cruise ship (Celebrity Apex) ported in Roatan, Honduras. My family quickly met up with Alex who was very professional, friendly, knowledgeable and had a very clean and comfortable large van. Alex proceeded to take us to a very nice animal park where we got to see different monkies, birds & sloths. He also cares about the local businesses we stopped to pickup some fresh dragon fruit from a street vendor, went shopping atop the highest peak on the island and ate lunch at a very nice and comfortable spot along the beach. We had kids with us which did not bother him at all, we were sorry that we left his nice van a mess. All in all Alex was a fantastic host and I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a private tour around the island.

Great communication for a wonderful cruise excursion. - I was recommended Alex for a cruise excursion. After a few questions through Facebook Messenger telling him exactly what we were looking for he gave us a price that was competitive with others. Because Alex was so professional and seemed genuine we chose him. We had a party of 8 (4 Adults, 4 children). We met Alex at about 8:30AM at the bottom of "the hill" in port. He actually found us with a big smile. He retrieved his shuttle van which fit the 8 fine (prob could've comfortably fit 1 more). It should be noted Alex even opened the doors to the van for us at each stop. He brought us exactly where we wanted and made sure to stop at a few other locations that we enjoyed. Alex also spoke of the history of the island and pointed out some important landmarks etc. He truly is a bright man who cares about his clients' experience. I enjoyed hearing about the educational system on the island and was happy to hear Alex is taking University classes himself. While we were at our resort on West Bay Beach, Alex waited for us and arrived back by the pool about 15 minutes earlier than we agreed upon just to let us know he would be in the shuttle in the parking lot whenever we were ready. He was just as pleasant on the way back to the port and gave even more information about the island. I highly recommend him. I know some people have reservations about non cruise line excursions, but I strongly recommend Alex Tours. You won't be disappointed. Thank you Alex from Mike Rey and family.

Friendly knowledgeable tour guide with excellent service - We just got back from a cruise where we visited Roatan. We booked Alex ahead of time based on reviews and he did not disappoint! He took us to the sloth and monkey place and then to the Infinite Bay resort, where he made sure we were set up with beach chairs and a waiter before he left to wait for us. Between the places, Alex gave a wonderful tour of the island and explained a lot about the history and the culture there. He definitely went above and beyond to make our experience enjoyable. If we ever find ourselves in Roatan again, we will definitely book with Alex again. Alex ever so kindly said that we can stay with him since we are family now. I highly recommend him.

Fantastic Roatan Day Trip with Alex Roatan Tours - We searched across the internet for a suitable tour operator for our day trip to Roatan and we’re completely overwhelmed by how many there are, however we came across Amex Roatan Tours in Tripadvisor and our decision was made. What a great decision it was too ! From the moment we met our guide and driver George we were in great hands. We had our own private jeep and George was amazing, he let us dictate how long we stayed at each stop and not once did we feel under any pressure to but anything from any of the sellers. George also answered any question or queries we had and when we asked about the local currency he even gave us some local currency notes as a souvenir. He brought us to all the stops we wanted and more ! He stopped at every photo opportunity and all the time fed us with the history and information about the island. He showed us the school he went to and the streets he grew up on. This was a very personal tour and we enjoyed every minute of it. George was so helpful and even when I asked him if he could take me to a pharmacy to fill a prescription I had left at home he took me to his local and waited outside. Personal service personified !!! So folks if you’re visiting Roatan you simply can’t do any better then Alex Roatan Tours. You can book and pay a deposit online and pay the balance when you arrive. Alex tours for your cruise excursion highly recommended - We had a great day with Ivan aka Ivan the Great! We met Alex at the pick up area with a smile and a hug. He made sure we knew our driver for the day. Ivan drove us to the Sloth and monkey experience, Candy and Rum factories as well as beautiful Kodak stops for great pics. With this tour you get to see the best of Roatan and learn a bit of history as well. I highly recommend Alex tours to all my friends!
