A great day in the wilderness! - Cora was an amazing guide. All the tour vehicles seem to go to the same four bridges. Cora was the bear whisperer, we saw six bears! Unfortunately, we could not find a seventh to create a new personal best bear count.

Family of bears - Cora was an amazing guide. We got to see a family of 3 bears, a few deer and get a lot of local knowledge about the area

Unfulfilling but fun try at finding Brown Bears - While our native guide (Cora) did her very best to find some bears for us she was unable to do so. We still had an enjoyable and educational trip and learned lots about bears, deer and the surrounding area of Hoonah. I would try her tour again mainly because we know it wasn't her fault the bears were avoiding us and she was so pleasant and knowledgeable.

Great excursion with a knowledgeable guide. - We saw two bear, albeit for about 30 seconds each. Greg, our guide, was very knowledgeable and persistent in his search for wild life.

Hoonah Travel Adventures has great customer service - Use Hoonah Travels even if only for their customer service. You never know if the animals will show up. But Hoonah took care of it.

Good guide, but just a drive - Guide was very good... but the tour was just a drive. We slowed down, we stopped but that was it. We did see a couple of bears and I know it was early season, but we did not go (stop and get out) at any locations where bears have been seen at at a distance... close up is not what I was asking for, just a distant look would have been great.

A bear that that didn’t see any bears - Gary our driver was wonderful and a great story teller. But we went on this to see bears and didn’t see any at all, very disappointing

Turned Away by Tour Guide Due to Poor Communication - After spotting a bear a day earlier, we excitedly booked the 11am tour the evening before at around 8:30pm. However, due to poor internal communication by the staff, we were left behind. When we showed our digital tickets to the tour guide we were supposed to leave with, she informed us that we weren't on her list and said another tour company would be picking us up, insinuating that the guide tends to be late but would eventually arrive. Without cell service, we couldn't call the company right away. After waiting for 10 more minutes, we walked closer to the Cannery to connect to WiFi and called the tour company. They apologized, explaining that they had missed our booking from the night before, but the guide had already left. They offered a full refund of $818.50 for our group of five. While I might understand an oversight for an early morning tour, missing this by 11am is unacceptable. By 11:30am, all tickets for the zip line and Adventure Park, which was our original plan, were sold out. We were extremely disappointed with the whole experience.

Disappointing - Disappointing. This was wildlife viewing without wildlife. I'm pretty sure they knew we wouldn't see anything because they started making excuses as soon as we got on the bus. They should be ashamed taking money for nothing. The excursion is not worth the price. I felt ripped off. No photos to add because all we saw were trees and a small stream. They claim 70% of visitors see something but I feel it is much less.

WORST EXCURSION EVER - BORING! They guarantee fun and excitement. No way! Our whole van was sleeping. The driver went so fast on bumpy roads. Impossible to see wildlife. Finally someone saw 3 deer and our driver wouldn’t turn around. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY
