Boston on a bus 😊 - Loved the tour. Our driver and guide on bus 702 were excellent. We were able to get off, enjoy and then get back on. Would definitely do it again.

Look into what you are supposed to see - Somehow there was a communication error. Several of us bought the 24 stop tour, but we only saw 14. Turns out we should have gotten out on the Cambridge stop and caught another bus. After talking to each other when we got off and looking at the map, we decided the director and his inadequate speaker were the problem. Visitors take those bus tours because they don’t know where they are and, they don’t want to get off and be unable to get back to the starting point. Then the guide got off and lost it on another bus guy ( I think the same bus company) because of the way the bus was parked. We were thankful for what we saw and that we were back to where we started. I would double check your schedule and ask questions ahead of time.

Frustrated - We missed our first shuttle because the salesman was not clear on what we were looking for, therefore we were directed to wait for the wrong line, which pushed our plans by 30 minutes. Once we got past that frustration, the day went fairly smoothly until the end. We were waiting for our shuttle in Cambridge at 3:50; it arrived at 4:18 to pick us up. Because of this, we missed the last pickup by the double decker bus (stop 6) to get us back to our starting point. So, we had to spend more money to get the green line subway so we could get back. And all that was said by our driver, "Sorry about that." I understand traffic can cause problems, however we were where we needed to be on time, and expected to have that final leg of our trip provided for us.

Left Standing In The Elements - Maybe I missed it, but I do not recall reading that the double decker bus tour is only in the downtown area. All areas of Boston outside of the immediate downtown area is via a shuttle bus with limited recorded narration. It rained on our tour day so operations were completely thrown off track. We were left literally standing in the rain for 1-hour with only slight overhead cover from the down pouring of rain. They were unorganized, and unprepared. I would not recommend them to anyone, use any other company but this one.

Don't book this! - The narration was sadly lacking. No history of buildings etc. Statements like look up at the buildings. Not sure what most of what we saw was. The ride to MIT and Harvard was even worse with a recording that sounded like a Dick and jane book for 5 year olds. When we got back to the drop off for Cambridge, we thought we would continue on to the spots beyond stop 6, but no, right back to spot 1. So, we rode again thinking we would go on to the other stops, but no, you have to get off and catch a van again. We felt like it was a waste of time and money, didn't even finish the tour.

Not great - Not great. Only the blue line has a double decker bus. The purple and orange line had small, enclosed, single level, stinky busses. Many fellow travelers waited 2 hours at bus stops for a bus. The drivers were not well informed and the taped tour information was AI and was hard to listen to.

Boston for the day - Booked on the basis that they picked up at the cruise terminal, but does not and from information received, never has. They will drop you back at the cruise terminal at the other end of the terminal for a short walk back to where your ship is berthed. You can walk to the closest bus stop if you have the correct directions or use a cab ($15). The staff are generally poor when requiring information. When you change from blue route to the other two routes, you could wait up to 1 hour to get on as these buses only whole about 20 each. Suggest you book with the trolley bus as they do pick up at the cruise terminal.

Do not use this tour bus, choose the orange and green instead - Not a good tour. I do not recommend. First in order to do the all the stops you have to use 2 shuttle buses that only run about every 30 minutes. The shuttle buses only use recorded audio and the drivers were not very informative when asked questions. The tour says they run till 5pm but the last bus leaves stop #1 at 4 pm, not 5pm. Most tours will have their last run start at 5pm.

Horrible Experience!! - We never got to use the tour because we waited for over an hour and the shuttle never arrived. We called and were told the shuttle was on it's way--it never showed up. The website says the shuttles come every 30 minutes--not true. After waiting for over an hour and wasting our day standing on the side of the road, we ended up going on another shuttle tour who had buses running every 15 minutes. I should have seen the 2 stars this company has before booking. I demand a full refund immediately.
