Nice Hop on Hop off Experience at a reasonable price - I did the hop on hop off bus tour last week with my family and it was pretty nice. The tour went by famous attractions, and we hopped off a few times. The price for the pass was pretty reasonable compared to other options. My family had a good time.

Underwhelming. - Pick up locations for uptown very limited. Narration was via recording, not live, which is much more fun on other busses. Short loops. Not enough information to hop-off at desired spots.

Be careful and understand which vendor you are purchasing and what sites on the route you will see. - Be careful - there is more than one Red tour bus and they all are not the same. There will be many men and women around mid towns’s theatre district hawking tickets for tour buses. Most are legitimate but they are not all selling the same thing…and they all are working on commission. We took a bus uptown assist was similar to the ones in the pre Covid days. It was not. While it did tour Harlem we did not see the famous Apollo theatre.

What a downer! - We thought we could make a nice tour for downtown and uptown, it also costs a bit but a nice way to taste New York. First of all, the tour information turned out to be out of sync and we didn’t all see the Things to do that were mentioned. Secondly, it turned out when we wanted to make the uptown tour in the afternoon that did not go after 3 pm. That was not told us and have also raised this with the bus service. No, there was nothing they could do, even when we could prove who sold the tickets to us. We even went back to the pitch where we bought the tickets. Yes I could come back tomorrow and “sir” would be there again. So we felt taken as tourists and that doesn't feel right! So let people inform you well or take the big bus. Unfortunately no original hop on hop off. Besides, it's also quite expensive! The staff seems to be doing nothing, we had to get off a bus and to another, had to sign up there again while a colleague sent us. Our advice....take the subway...we will come back to New York in a few days and then use the subway!

Not recommended! Tourist trap - You are literally intercepted and forced to download the Topview app for the ticket. Staff on entry rude and unfriendly. Far too long a stop at the stops for no apparent reason. Driver an imposition. Drives too close or brakes suddenly. Audio system on the bus mostly broken. Absolutely not recommended!

Waste of money - Very disappointed in our two day ticket. On the second day, we tried to go to Central Park and we got to a stop to get on the bus a little after four. They told us the last bus left at 4 o’clock. The guys were very eager to sell us the two day ticket, but after that, we were not able to get answers out of them. We had no idea we wouldn’t be able to go after 4 o’clock. That is still part of the day. Also, on the short little trip we took, volume on the audio did not work. Money wasted.

Worst Experience of New York!!! - Stay Away! Lies and Shady! Awful Customer Service, Rude bus driver, tour guides. Sales people LIE about where the bus actually goes and make sales base on false information! Buyer Be Aware! Terrible buses, old and raggedy, no air! You would be better off paying for Taxi or Uber especially if you are doing a group. Worst experience ever really ruined our New York tour experience we ended hopping off and getting an Uber to complete our route. There were others who did the same!

Total waste of time and money. Too many tickets being sold and not enough buses to cope. - Gave up trying to get on a bus, even after walking to a different stop, as first 5 that passed were full and we’d already waited an hour and a half trying to get on one. Lots of people in the same situation at the stops complaining and people arguing with each other as people trying to jump queues to get on. Was advised if we wanted a refund go to the office near Bryan Square which we did, only to be advised only refundable if busses weren’t running at all, not if we just couldn’t get on them. A waste of $150 and a lot of time.

Poor experience - Rude drivers, dirty buses, waited 45 minutes for midtown loop bus and some others waited 1.5 hours. Not really worth the cost.
