We will pick you up from your hotel between 6:00 AM and 8:00 AM (you can choose the pick-up time). We will then head to the entrance of Samaria Gorge. The gorge is 17 km long and typically takes around 5 hours to traverse, though this can vary. The gorge is 17 km long and typically takes around 5 hours to traverse, though this can vary. At the end of the gorge, you’ll find Agia Roumeli beach, where you can enjoy a swim or have lunch at one of the restaurants. Afterward, you will need to take the ferry from Agia Roumeli to Chora Sfakion; the last ferry departs at 5:30 PM. We will be waiting for you at Chora Sfakion to pick you up and transfer you back to your hotel.

It provides you the chance to encounter uncommon constructs and species within the Cretan ecosystem, including the distinctive Kri-Kri goat species that is exclusive to Crete. Embarking on a scenic journey through quaint mountain villages, you arrive at Xyloskalo located in the plateau of Omalos. This marks the northern gateway of the gorge, sitting at an elevation of 1,250 m. As you persist in your journey, you traverse through the ‘Sideroportes’ (Iron doors), the most constricted segment of Samaria, culminating along the coast of the Libyan Sea in Agia Roumeli where you can undoubtedly relax, nourish yourself, and take a swim. Basically, it’s everything you desire! Besides this, your walk also leads you to several intriguing historical landmarks like the temple of Apollo, offering you a superb amalgamation of natural beauty and Greek heritage.
