Enjoy a relaxed horseback ride on a beautiful horse along the stunning beaches of Manzanillo, just twenty minutes from the historic city of Cartagena de Indias. This will be an excellent experience with horses, allowing you to take in the incredible views of the Caribbean Sea.
Our horses are kept in stables under excellent conditions, with proper handling and feeding. They are monitored by a veterinarian and only go out on the beach when we have visitors.
One of our professional riders will assess each visitor’s skill level to provide the necessary instructions on how to ride these horses and will accompany you throughout the ride.
With horses suitable for all levels of riders, from novices to experts, Horses Cartagena Tours will work hard to match you with the perfect horse.
After the ride, you can enjoy a delicious lunch or dinner, and the team at Horses Cartagena Tours will provide you with beautiful pictures of this unforgettable experience.

- Transfer Hotel – Manzanillo Beaches , located 20 minutes away from the old city of Cartagena.

- For travelers of cruises we can pick up at 9:00 am and come back at good time for the cruise
- Passengers with weights greater than 120 Kgs may not ride horses.

Beautiful experience riding horses! - This was such a beautiful experience! Luis and Maria were excellent tour guides. From the moment they picked us up at the hotel, they made us feel welcome and excited. It is clear they take excellent care of their horses and are very passionate about their work. Although I was a bit nervous about getting on the horse, I quickly got over my fears. There is always someone there to help with the horses in case you need it. The ocean is beautiful and riding the horses in the water is extremely peaceful. They also took very beautiful photos of us and then we rode along the beach the rest of the time. We were then provided a delicious meal and drinks. The car ride home felt like riding with friends. Truly cannot recommend enough! Make sure you wear and reapply mosquito repellent!

Perfect, Unforgettable Experience… - This tour was absolutely amazing, one of the best experiences in Cartagena. The tour guides are patient, knowledgeable and spoke very good english. The horses are beautiful and well taken care of. We enjoyed learning about each horse, their training and history. The pictures and videos that they take during your ride are breathtaking. We also enjoyed dinner that was provided after, the food was well seasoned and cook to perfection.

Best Cartagena excursion - Hands down this was my favorite excursion in Cartagena. The staff were extremely knowledgeable and attentive. The photo shot was so much fun. The dinner was also great Worth every penny.

Great Experience - We rode with Luis and Maria (a father daughter duo) and they were amazing. They made the experience very comfortable. The ride was not too long, not too short, great food for lunch and we had so many laughs!! HIGHLY recommend.

Best Host for this Activity! - This is a must-do activity in Cartagena and Maria and her family’s paso fino horse farm made it unforgettable. They graciously opened the area for us to learn about the paso fino horse and their importance to Colombia while watching an exhibition of the horses. Then, they took us to a wonderful beach restaurant area where we were able to ride the horses for a considerable amount of time. The activity is completely doable even if you have no experience riding horses (like us). The horses appeared to be well cared for and healthy, and the ride was smooth. They also took amazing photos of us. Thank you Maria!!!

Personal, thoughtful experience - Luis and Maria were very welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. At the ranch, they explained the importance of the difference between Spanish horses and horses that people are generally more familiar with. It was informative and helpful to understand (and not at all boring or longwinded), as it changes the way the horses are ridden (really important to know whether you're a beginner or a pro). It was also easy to focus on as well, since it was only my friend and I on the tour. We were transported to a beautiful resort while waiting for the horses to arrive to the beach. The amount of wait time and time spent riding was sufficient. We chose the 3pm time slot, which was great, as it was cooler and we were able to see the beginning of the sunset. I was actually pretty nervous having not ridden since childhood, but Emile stayed with me the entire time and coached me through the ride. My friend (who is a professional rider) was given a more experienced horse, and enjoyed the challenge of a change in riding style. Dinner at the resort was actually very good, which we were surprised about, seeing as food that's in included in excursions is usually mediocre. Overall, it was a really nice way to end our trip in Cartagena, which was heavily based on nightlife. It was a very personal experience that was tailored to us entirely. I would absolutely recommend it for all ages.

AMAZING!! - I travel a lot with and without my children. This is one of the best tours I ever taken. I booked it for my 11 yr old son and I. It was his first time on a horse. The communication prior to the tour was great, I believe ots the father you speak with via whatsapp. It's a family business, the daughter Maria (guide) picked us up with a driver. We arrived at the range where you will see all of the horses. They give you a 30 min history about the horses.
They then explain and show you how to handle the horses. You then drive 2mins to a nice beach restaurant where you get a drink so they can bring the horses to the beach.
We took amazing photos (trust me I'm picky about pics and I loved everyone of them)
and then we rode the horses down the entire beach. I think it was like an hour.
Maria guided us on her own horse and they had someone walking with is next to our horses. Ex one guy for my son and another one for me But we didn't need them that's how great the horses are that you don't need them.
Oh there's horse base on your comfort skills, beginner to advance.
You can even ride in the water if you like. The horses were very trained and great. Trust me this is important because when I did horses in el salvador and other caribbean island they were wild and I almost fell off before.

Amazing experience - This was such an amazing experience! It was only my boyfriend and I with Luis and his daughter Maria, they are so kind and personable. They really go above and beyond in every aspect, Luis asked us if we ate breakfast and when we said no he stopped and bought us a Colombian breakfast. The horses were beautiful and well cared for. Maria took amazing pictures of us with her camera as well. The whole experience was one that we will never forget all thanks to Luis and Maria, highly recommend this if you are looking for something more personal!

Awesome time - This was a great tour and learning experience. The run down of the history of the horses was very informative. Our tour guide guy was very nice, as well as his daughter Maria. Riding the horse in the water on the beach was a great experience. Our pictures were great. Glad we had the chance to concentrate on our horse instead of taking pictures. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Amazing ride on beach - This was the best horseback ride I’ve ever done! Picked up from cruise ship. Beautiful and well kept paso fino to ride on beach 🏝️. They took pictures and videos. Excellent for anyone from beginners to experienced equestrians. Lovely lunch. Saw the baby Paso and stables. Absolutely amazing. I can’t say enough good things about this tour! Book it and you’ll be amazed how much fun it is.
