Beautiful, informative and efficient way to see Pico - We only had a day to spend in Pico so we booked this trip. Evelina was a fantastic guide - a source of interesting information about the island and its culture and history and vey friendly. She drove us and another couple around to all the highlights giving us plenty of time to look around, take pics and ask questions. The trip included the ferry ride, lots of beautiful stops and a nice lunch with a wonderful view.

Full-Day Pico Island Tour from Horta - Fillip was our tour guide and allowed me to sign up the day before. It was a lovely wander around Pico. We got to see three quarters of the island. The views, black stoned vineyards and beautiful vistas were exquisite. I can't say enough good about it. Two people on this tour spoke Portuguese and I'm from the US so he did this tour in both languages! Thank you!!

Excellent introduction to Pico - Ermilinda was an excellent guide sharing her love of the island with the group. An excellent introduction to the island.

Enjoyed 2 tours with Aerohorta! One of Faial and one to Pico! Don’t miss out!! - We did 2 tours through Aerohorta. One was the day trip to Pico from Horta which we scheduled super last minute (morning of) but they were kindly able to accommodate us. It was a lovely tour and great to see Pico and how different it is from Faial! We enjoyed the day tour. This also includes a whaling museum which I didn’t enjoy but I understand it is part if the Azorean culture. We also booked a full day tour of Faial and really enjoyed driving around the little island, going up to Caldeira, and visiting the volcano museum. Our tour guide was Vitor and he was super great and we really enjoyed talking with him and learning more about Faial and the Azores. Definitely recommend Aerohorta!! It’s tour prices are much more reasonable than some of the other tours I found on TA. We discovered Aerohorta from our hotel reception desk. Thank you Aerohorta for the great tours!!

Informative way to see Pico - In general would recommend this tour with one caveat. Our guide in Pico, Evelina, was informative and enthusiastic about Pico. The lunch that was included was tasty and the restaurant had a lovely view. We were picked up at the apartment we had rented in Horta and they took us to and from the ferry. They had arranged for our tickets to the ferry. We got see the outer edge of half of Pico island and then cut across the middle. Lots of short stops. Caveat: Plan to call the operator if you're staying somewhere other than the hotels they list because they didn't respond to my emails asking that they confirm that they could pick us up at the private apartment we were staying at.

Rent a car instead - The pick up at our hotel worked well. The driver was waiting for us on the other side. Pico is an interesting island. We had a look at vineyards protected by black lava rocks, whaling history and beautiful scenery. There is , however, no reason to pay for this trip. It’s much better, in my opinion to rent a car and go yourself. The guide added little value.
