Awesome museum. - This is an amazing museum. The dinosaur fossils are stunning. I loved the Faberge exhibit. This is definitely a must do for solo adults or family with kids. The King Tuts exhibit was on when I was there , and it was really cool and fantastic.

Beautiful and interesting - I wonder if we in Italy will ever have such a museum. Great, interactive for adults and children, interesting, complete from prehistoric times to today. With very organized 3D shows, etc..etc... unmissable visit

A great place in a great city - I've been to this museum before, and I'm still in awe everytime I go. I've seen many parts of it, but never the entire museum! My favorite area is the mineral area-- just beautiful! Low lights, soft music, and brilliant lighting on the exquisite stones. The butterfly museum is great for kids-- very interactive for many levels. As is the energy floor. Drive a tug boat! A great place to go in a great city to visit!

Amazing experiences at the Houston Museum! - We went on an expedition to the museum over our thanksgiving visit to Houston. What a fun outing! We toured the King Tut exhibit and it makes me wonder what the other Egyptian tombs must have been like since they were by fare bigger than Tut’s tomb. The cutaways of the sarcophagus was amazing and the feeling they created as if you were entering the actual tomb as one of the archaeologists did was well done. Then we headed to the butterfly exhibit. That is a work of living wonders. We saw butterflies enclosing from there chrysalis’s. Then wandering in the butterfly enclosure room! It was warm with feeding stations for butterflies to drink out of. Thousands of butterflies were flying around and occasionally landing on us as we wandered through the tropical plants. Well worth the visit!

One of the best in usa really. - Totally amazing dinosaur space and exhibit. Truly incredible. Tut egypt exhibit and colletion is totally mind blowing. Very extensive collectuon. This is a must see for adulta and kids. Best in U.S.A. really a gem. PLan 8 hours to take it in and check out the massive park next door. TIp - Seek on street parking for free rather than 25$. SUCH A GEM 5 STARS.

Scouting Merit Badge Program - disappointing - no accountability - The HMNS is a great institution and I have no complaints with general admission and tours/exhibits. Those are amazing and especially entertaining for kiddos 5-11 or so. My complaint is with the Scout Merit Badge programs and lack of follow up/sign off after the class day is over. I have paid and my kid has now attended the Family Life Merit Badge twice. There is zero response and assistance with MB sign offs following the class. My son has both emailed and called and left vmail and instructed to obtain sign offs. It is highly disappointing and annoying to a parent who is trying to help the Scout just get it done. I will only recommend to others if their Scout can be prepared enough to get all signed off during the class. Slackers beware!
