Wonderful ride - My wife and I had a wonderful ride. Our guide Marta was friendly and helpful - we have ridden Western but not English previously and she coached us well. The scenery was spectacular and the horses were gentle and well mannered.

Wonderful horseback riding in Akureyri! - What a great company to use to have an experience riding Icelandic horses! We began at a lovely horse farm outside of Akureyri. The horses were beautiful and the ride very scenic. We loved that it was a small group (on this day, it was just the 2 of us!) and our guides were very friendly and knowledgeable. They gave us several photo stops to record our experience. We didn't have much recent experience riding horses but they gave us some lessons in the beginning and we were fine. It was one of our best excursions we took during our Icelandic cruise.

Great experience! - Anna, Berber and Marta were wonderful. Great guides- very interactive and talkative, beautiful scenery and Anna even had homemade cake and coffee and water for us when we finished.

Best Horse Back Riding Experience! - This was the best horseback riding experience we have ever had. The trails were stunning. The horses were beautiful and sweet. The views were breathtaking. The trails took us through a forest of Christmas trees, over a bridge, along a stream, above the trees, while surrounded by snow capped/glacier mountains in August. This was the perfect Iceland horseback riding experience. At the beginning of our ride, we needed some riding reminders and our guide Martha was so kind, patient, and helpful. Martha was great throughout the entire ride. We arrived to Iceland by cruise ship and had plenty of time to do a morning ride at 10:00am and were back to the cruise ship before 1:00pm to have lunch on the ship. This appears to be a family farm business which makes it even more charming. We highly recommend this horseback riding experience.

An amazing time and ride! - We had an amazing time and ride. Owner Anna and guide Bar were very personal, professional, and friendly. It was a beautiful ride with easy horses! We even share Happy Marriage Cake and tea in their stable after the ride! It was a wonderful outing!

Amazing Icelandic Horses - We loved riding Icelandic horses with Deacon at Stable Stop! It was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. We enjoyed trying the various gaits, and appreciated the helpful directions from the riding staff.

Beautiful views, sweet animals - We had the best time with Berber on our 1.5 hour tour! The scenery was beautiful and the horses (Gunnvör and Leikur) were kind and patient. We were both first time riders and felt safe and secure the entire time. There was a bit of a mix up with dates with the owner and we had paid for transportation to and from the stable, but had to take a taxi to the stable instead. The owner apologized profusely and made sure we made it back to the ship on time. Mistakes happen! We had an amazing time and would recommend it to anyone we know traveling to Iceland.

Friendly and flexible people! - During our wonderful travel through Iceland, I felt it was a must to experience this overwelming nature on the back of an Icelandic horse! Because of unexpected snowfall we had to reschedule our appointment. This was no problem at all! It was a long time ago since I had been riding but Anna was very comforting. I enjoyed the beautiful ride! During the ride the communication was very good and Anna gave some usefull tips. During the 1 1/2 hour tour, there was enough time to enjoy the Tölt. Very special! Lovely people and very friendly horses. Love to come back sometimes.

Best tour EVER! - This was the most incredible ride. We are experienced riders and we had a wonderful guide Anna Marie - We got to trot and gallop - the horses were exceptional - so comfortable and well behaved - a dream to ride , the scenery was magical - The only complaint is the ride was too short (I could have ridden for hours rather than the 1.5 hours scheduled.) Stable Stop Iceland was so accommodating - they picked us up and brought us back to the port. We highly recommend this tour. Five Stars +
