Excellent experience, well worth the money. - Fabulous trip in a monster truck from husafell, although we had the full trip from Reykjavik with Reykjavik Excursions so it included several waterfalls etc en route.
The ice cave is reached after a drive across country & up the glacier, an experience in itself. The tour through the ice cave in the glacier was fun & very informative, the guise even sung us a song in the chapel!

Incredible journey into the centre of the ice - We had a fab experience with our guide Ryan. Really informative and the driver made such an effort to get us there despite the slush. Snowmobiling cancelled due to mild weather conditions meaning there wasn’t enough snow for us to go. It didn’t matter because the ice cave was worth the trip alone. Excellent story telling and singing throughout. You can tell the people working for the company are passionate about their work. We were blown away

On tour with Dominique! - So much fun to do this. Big truck, freezing temperatures, great guide Dominique and a safe driver Adrian. The ice tunnel will give you some amazing shots, not drinks :)

The best experience ever! - This is a must do in Iceland! The tour guide, Dominico, was so informative and really funny on the ride up to the glacier. We then were guided by, benne, on our snowmobile, which felt like the most adventurous experience. It was so safe and we also got to go really fast! Highly recommend all of it! Especially the snowmobile experience.

Fun under the Ice - Hats off to Ryan and Omar, our entertaining guides on the glacier.
We didn't do the snowmobiling, but trip advisor doesn't have just a glacier tour to choose from. Anyway, had a super fun time traipsing inside and learning about the process of building a tunnel in the glacier! A quirky idea and an engineering feat. The drive up is an adventure in itself as we had the added bonus of white-out snow at the summit.
Sobering to see the effect of global weather change as the glacier is rapidly melting away at a very accelerated pace compared to 60 years ago.

They aren’t going to tell you that you are in for a tour 3x as long as you anticipated before you start. - This tour is supposed to be 3-4 hours, instead it took 7-9 hours. It was the same for at least 3 days in a row. I understand they can’t control the weather, but once you start the tour, there is no option to turn back. Even if the tour will be 7-9 hours without reaching the cave because of snow, ice and extreme cold, they aren’t going to cancel the tour because then they would have to give you a refund.
It was taking a very long time for the snowmobiles to reach the cave because they had to break the trail. Then the snowmobiles had to wait at the cave entrance for hours for the glacier vehicle to arrive (it took even longer for that vehicle to break trail). Then the glacier vehicle had to dig out the entrance to the cave. All while the snowmobile passengers waited outside in frigid temperatures. One woman on the tour got taken away by ambulance for frostbite by the time she returned at 5pm from the 10am tour.
This might be a great tour as long as the weather is decent, but do yourself a favor and call to check the conditions and recent experiences at least 25 hours before your tour so that you have a choice to back out and still get your money back if the conditions are terrible.
