- Huacachina Ica - Huacachina is a desert located in Ica region. It has huge dunes and with a dunebuggy tour we will take a 2 hour ride through it to really enjoy it. Before enter the Huacachina deser each participant will pay 2 soles (local currency).

Additional Information
Departing from the front desk of Carola Lodge at Av. Angella Perotti, 11000 Huacachina, our dune buggy adventure commences at 16:00 pm. Safety is our first priority; hence, the first thing we do once you are in the vehicle is making sure your seatbelts are securely fastened. Then, prepare yourself for an exhilarating ride through the desert of Huacachina. The highlight of the trip is the top of the towering dunes, where you’ll have a chance to get on some basic sandboards. After two hours of thrill and excitement, the tour concludes with a stunning sunset viewing.
A quick note: Upon entering the desert, you will be asked to pay a 4 sol fee per person (in the local currency).

Sandboarding is easy - Super fun! Glad I did it. The dunes are so crazy with buggies but the sand goes on forever - it seems.

Fantastic dune buggy experience - I love this tour, it was so much fun. It is a safe tour you are buckled in well. You get to stop and take plenty of pictures, the scenery is beautiful once you get out to the dunes. I highly recommend going for sunset, as I went during this time and it was the most beautiful. The sand boarding was done twice, 2 dunes, I was okay with this as I didn’t do it. It’s not traditional sand boarding as in you’re strapped in by your boots/shoes, but it’s more like a sled you go down in the board in your stomach because they don’t have the time to get you strapped into the Equiptment and show you how to do it. If you want to actually sand board maybe do a tour that is just for that. This is definitely more for the dune buggies. They do go down some steep dunes! It’s awesome.

Adrenaline 100% - Get a crazy driver, the buggy is half the fun, exciting and fast!!!
The sand boarding is impressive at once, but get it done it is amazing, you have to do it at least once in your life and here is the place!

Amazing, recommend this experience - This was one of the best activities we did in Peru. Of we ever go back, I want to do this again.

Very expensive, buy directly from huacachina!!! - They charge 29 USD for a tour that costs on average 40 soles (10 USD) if you buy it directly in huacachina so I don't recommend it. The tour is standard and our driver barely waited for the sun to set to take us away! It's worth taking the tour but I recommend buying directly in Huacachina

Poor, overpaying too much, SCAM - Really poor. Don 't order your trip here, it is a scam, you are overpaying too much. We ordered this trip by Viator Tripadvisor. We were sent to Carola lodge where i found out that almost overpaid twice the amount they are asking locally at Carola lodge. If you ask a refund or compensation they are not home.

No safety precautions at all - Be aware that there have been many fatal and even deadly accidents in the Huacachina Buggy Tours. Please get informed beforehand and google it. There are NO SAFETY PRECAUTIONS AT ALL. The drivers don´t have a license and there are no checks on the cars whatsoever. Because the dunes are private proberty, there are no controls, rules or laws for your safety. Most of the seatbelts don´t work. The drivers don´t even check if everyone has taken his/her seat proberly before starting to drive. If you sit on one of the outer sides, your head is not protected by the roof if the cars turns over (which they often do). I saw an accident myself and noone even checked on the injured person.
