Experience twelve characteristic dishes of Shanghai over a three-hour culinary journey down Huangpi Road, a historic boundary between the former French Concession and residential sections of Shanghai. Try soup dumplings enhanced with black vinegar, savour the distinct taste of parched chicken, fluffy steamed buns, scallion oil noodles, among other delights. Witness how migration has led to the flourishing and multicultural evolution of this rapidly changing city. This gastronomic tour provides several times of departure throughout the day.
Currently, a special late-night tour option is available at 8:30 PM. In this session, experience nocturnal Shanghai while savoring craft beers or dessert accompanied by fresh hand-pulled beef noodles and succulent lamb kebabs.

Fun, tasty food tour and perfect for getting to know Shanghai better - What a great way to not only try new foods that I wouldn’t have necessarily found on my own - but also orient myself around Shanghai on my first full day here. Our guide Patrick was super personable, flexible and friendly. He was a wonderful host. The 2 other solo travelers I met on the tour were lovely and it was such a nice way to spend the afternoon. Definitely good value for money and highly recommended all around! Im very happy and very full :)

Great Experience - First of all Pat was a fantastic host. He was very welcoming towards all participants. He also added very interesting back ground information regarding the food and Shanghai in general. And the food was excellent.
I definitely recommend doing this tour!

Great food tour - Jim was a great host and all the food was outstanding. He asked if we had any dietary restrictions or food allergies so he could choose the best places for our group. We wound up going to about 8 different places, all small and intimate, and none of which a Western hemisphere dweller such as myself who knows just a few words of Mandarin would ever have experienced on my own. Noodles with a bunch of different toppings, four or five different types of dumplings, a tea tasting, fruit stand to try local seasonal fruit, a barbecue (seasoned meat on skewers, not brisket and pulled pork) joint, even a craft beer stand. If you like exploring and eating like a local I highly recommend this tour.

Happy Full Belly - Amazing tour, food was incredible and Jade was a wonderful Guide. Very easy to chat to and she was very knowledgeable about lots of different things. Even taught us the best way to eat our dumplings.
Would recommend this tour to anyone visiting.
Make sure you go very hungry. You get so much delicious food

Amazing tour - This is a definitely more than what i expected when booking. Our tour guide was Jade. She is super knowledgeable and friendly. We would have never found these local eatery without her. Highly recommend if you are visiting Shanghai in the future.

Excellent journey - I had an amazing time in Shanghai trying local snacks like xiaolongbao, shengjian, and cheung fun. The tea tasting was really interesting and I learned about the culture of local in China. The guide was super friendly and made sure I enjoyed learning about Shanghai life.
