Great tour of local food! - Helen gave us an amazing tour of some hidden food gems in Shanghai. We walked to five or six different eating establishments and had everything from potstickers to desserts to tea. She was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to talk with.

Customizable fun tour - Jade was great and took into consideration that my friend is a vegetarian and customized the tour to suit her needs as well. We asked last minute for tea and she made arrangements to go to a tea ceremony that was really nice. Ate lots of food and had a great time. Jade was knowledgeable and fun to walk around with. Highly recommend!

Perfect culinary start for newcomers to Chinese cuisine - To immerse yourself in Chinese cuisine as a Novice this tour is the perfect start. Since you have some respect at the beginning with the oversupply in this country, you are taken by the hand here and introduced to the realm of flavors. Jade is a wonderful person who not only wants to introduce you to Chinese cuisine but also tells you a lot of historical information about the respective place. She has a very warm manner and will gladly answer any question. We stayed in four different places and everything was delicious. Soups, wantans, dumplings, barbecue skewers... Food in all variations and you never had to wait long. Just great, just delicious. Thank you for the great tour and I wish you that tourism increases again and you have the success you deserved. See you next time.

The best experience I had in Shanghai - This is seriously a ‘must do’ on your trip-it was fantastic. We met Jade outside a subway station (easy to find) and she was immediately warm and welcoming. Her English is perfect-she is incredibly kind and willing to speak in English during the tour (thank you!). Jade asked several questions about our dietary requirements (I’m a vegetarian) and tastes, things we wanted to do/taste (tea). Jade organized a traditional tea ceremony for our group which was spectacular. She had also bought some traditional cakes to complement the tea ceremony. We had noodles, dumplings, tea and fruit (a visit to a fruit shop to taste all sorts of delicious things we do t get at home). Jade is knowledgeable, organized, friendly and took us on an incredible tour. Seriously can’t stress enough-do this tour! (A couple of housekeeping points-Jade found us toilets along the way, for some of the tour we jumped in a taxi or two but there is still some walking, vegetarian options were delicious).

Awesome food and guide - It was awesome, the food was delicious and even though I had already been all over China for two weeks, I still got to try one or two dishes that were new to me. We also tried some Chinese teas and fruit. Our guide Patrick spoke excellent English and it felt like spending the evening with a friend group rather than a tour :)

Great food variety that you wouldn't find without a guide - This tour was a great way to visit some off-the-grid local eateries nearby the People's Square / West Nanjing Road area that I would have never found without a tour guide. The tour starting point was easy to find. Our guide Luo Ding was very fluent in English and very informative about the history of the area and the food culture of all the places we visited. The stops included noodles, soup, dumplings, barbeque, and dessert all of which were very different than what you'll find at the hotels and restaurants a non-Chinese traveler will typically visit in Shanghai.

Jim created a great experience, the food was fantastic and Jim balanced great food with cultural experiences. It was hard to pick a favourite. The tea ceremony was especially interesting.
