Tai Chi and Mooncakes - I had an amazing time with Jim throughout the French Consession of Shanghai. Jim's passion and enthusiasm for both the food and history of Shanghai really showed as he both took us to cultural landmarks, new and old whilst taking us between restaurants. I saw Tai Chi practictioners next to couples dancing in the park whilst wondering which food was going to amaze me next. It was truely a wonderful experience.

Great Food Tour - I really appreciate that the company continued on with the tour despite having only 1 person (me) signed up for it. Was really looking forward to this tour during my trip to Shanghai. I had a really hearty breakfast on the tour as we sampled alot of the food. Jade was a great guide. She brought me around the French Concession area and explained the of interesting facts about the area. Really enjoyed the tour!

Brilliant, authentic, Tasty - This breakfast walking tour was the highlight of our trip. Walking through Shanghai and seeing the sites, parks, people, all while eating authentic food was a very unique experience. Jim is so knowledgeable about Shanghai and the food places he took us to were very authentic and mostly locals. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone!

Best part of our trip - I did this tour with two friends/colleagues, we were visiting China for a conference. This tour was the highlight of our trip. Our guide easily accommodated my 1 vegetarian and 1 vegan and me (who eats everything), and told us a lot about the history of the neighborhood. I very highly recommend this!

Much more than a food tour, highly recommend! - Jim was a perfect guide, sharing many information and stories about Shanghai and China history. The tour was much much more than a food tour, we received a complete experience having an insight into Shanghaiers life and chinese cousine. We tried more than 8 dishes, all delicious. We had a nice break from the heat while having a tea ceremony. Thank you Jim for the experience! :)

Outstanding foodie tour of Shanghai’s former French Concession area - I cannot recommend this tour highly enough! Jim is friendly and warm and as a local Shanghainese, incredibly knowledgeable about Chinese and Shanghai history and culture. The local, often family-owned businesses that we visited on this tour were interesting, varied and the food was very high quality (special shout-out to the excellent coffee, beautiful fruit shop, the gorgeous tea house and outstanding xiao long bao dumplings on the final stop). Jim provides history and context to the area, the buildings, the history, the food and culture. A fantastic tour - three hours flew by with interesting conversation, a gentle and easy walk and incredible food. Thank you Jim for a wonderful experience.

Best Food Tour I’ve ever done! - I’ve done a LOT of food tours - Europe, Anericas and Asia and this is the best I’ve experienced. Jim is a local, perfect English speaker and knows not only the local places to dine but also can talk you thru the history of the French Concessions as well. 3 hours flew - walking is easy & you get to see back streets life you’d otherwise miss in between delicious eating and tea drinking. Highly recommend this to anyone who wants to sample and see Shanghai with a knowledgeable guide!
