Huangshan Arrival, the Hongcun and Tunxi Ancient Street Tour

Hongcun Ancient Village - Whether you arrive in Huangshan by bus, flight, or train, your personal guide and driver will be there to greet you with a sign bearing your name, ensuring a smooth and comfortable transfer.

After enjoying an authentic Hui style lunch at a local restaurant, you’ll head to Hongcun Village, one of China’s most picturesque ancient villages with a history spanning over 800 years. The village showcases traditional Hui style architecture.

Tunxi Ancient Street - Situated in the heart of old Tunxi city, this street features hundreds of well-preserved old shops, reminiscent of a bygone era with their simple and elegant buildings. Stroll leisurely among the ancient structures and hunt for bargains.

The Mt. Huangshan (Yellow Mountain)

Mt. Huangshan - Spend a day and night exploring the Yellow Mountains. It takes about an hour to reach the base of the mountains from central Huangshan City. Begin your adventure with a ride on the Yungu cable car (round-trip included), and take in the stunning scenery during the 10-minute journey.

Your guide, who spends over 200 days a year on the mountains, will tailor the route to your preferences.

For energetic hikers in good shape: After descending from the cable car, walk for about 30 minutes, mostly down stairs, to reach the hotel, passing Umbrella Pine and Black Tiger Pine along the way. After a buffet lunch at the hotel, explore the West Sea Grand Canyon. This hike lasts over three hours and covers the 1st ring, 2nd ring, and bottom of the canyon. If time and energy allow, you can further explore the Flying-over Rock and watch the sunset at Bright Top. It takes about 40 minutes to return to the hotel from Bright Top.

For beginners, children, and senior citizens: After getting off the cable car, walk for about 30 minutes to the hotel, passing Black Tiger Pine and Dream Flower Pine. After a buffet lunch at the hotel, walk to West Sea Grand Canyon. You can choose the duration of your walk: reaching the 1st ring and returning takes about two hours; reaching the 2nd ring and returning takes about 2½ hours. Enjoy the sunset at Cloud-dispelling Pavilion, which is about a 30-minute walk back to the hotel.

Huangshan Departure

Mt. Huangshan - Wake up early to capture the sunrise at Refreshing Terrace, a highly recommended spot by previous visitors. After breakfast at the hotel, walk to Lion Peak to see the Dawn Pavilion, Stone Monkey Watching the Sea, and various pine formations along the way. You can also climb to Beginning-to-Believe Peak for a view of Mushroom Pavilion. Conclude your Yellow Mountains adventure with a return journey on the Yungu Cable Car.

Your guide will manage your luggage, transfer, and accompany you to the train/bus station or the appropriate check-in desk at the airport for your departure.

This 3-day tour is a combo of Mt. Huangshan natural scenery and ancient villages. You’ll stay one night at the foot of Mt. Huangshan and another night on the top of the mountain. • Wear comfortable shoes for walking - this tour requires around 5 km of easy walk and climbing up a small hill (at your will)
• Please take a small bag or backpack for your overnight stay on the mountain. Your guide will assist you with storing your big suitcase in your hotel in Tunxi. You can collect it on your way back. You can also store the luggage at the foot of the mountain. The cost is about CNY20 (US$4) for each piece.
