Huaraz - Transfer to Pashpa (3400 m) - Trekking to Ishinca Base Camp (4250 m)
Huaraz - Today, the journey begins by departing from the city of Huaraz, heading north and descending into the Callejón de Huaylas, also known as the Santa Valley, towards the village of Paltay. The route continues on an unpaved road to Pashpa (3400 m), leading to the small Lake Cochapampa. Here, the local team of mule drivers awaits. The trip from Huaraz to Paltay takes approximately 90 minutes. Following this, there is a peaceful ascent through the Ishinca Valley to the camp, located near Refugio Don Bosco. This trek takes about 4-5 hours. Overnight camping.

Nevado Ishinca - After breakfast, the group departs at 8 am for a leisurely return walk to Pashpa. Today, burros will carry the camping and personal gear. The return journey passes through a hillside adorned with queñuales trees (Polylepis spp.), native to the high Andes. Private transport will be waiting upon arrival. It is likely that the group will arrive early and enjoy lunch in Huaraz. Accommodation will be provided at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.
