Great day trip to the cool - There were two of us on this tour together with another family. Sam was our tour guide. As a small group we are in a minibus from Hue to Bach Ma National Park. The bus goes almost to the top and parks there. The last few vertical meters you walk very relaxed. Along the way Sam showed us some wild animals (e.g. chameleons) and told us some interesting things about it. Once at the top there was a beautiful view of the lagoon and a delicious coffee. Afterwards we went down a bit further by bus to make the hike at the 5 lakes. The path there is wet and partly slippery, so be sure to put on sturdy footwear! Arrived on 3. Lake we then took a lunch break. Each of us got a lunchbag from Sam, with delicious freshly cooked, hot food. Afterwards there was the possibility to swim in the lake, super refreshing! After cooling down we went past the other two lakes to a waterfall. Very impressive! After the waterfall, we walked past a large Buddha statue back to the van. Overall we walked about 7km. We had a lot of fun yesterday and would definitely recommend the tour to anyone who likes to be in nature and sometimes needs a dip from the city. Also big thanks to Sam, he did the tour really well!

Worth the effort - The view from the top was spectacular, and the trek to the lakes and waterfall were well worth the effort. Great guide!

Bach Ma hike - We loved our trek thru Bach Ma national park with Sam as our thoughtful guide. We had adventure hiking to five awesome lakes and a refreshing swim! It was a lot cooler up in the hills and no crowds!

Great day out hiking & swimming - We had a relatively large group needed a van and car. However Ben did a great job keeping us all safe at all times. We took the more adventurous route which was lots of scrambling down rocks. The 4 pools were beautiful. We carried in a picnic lunch made by the tour owners wife and ate and swam at pool 3. It was lovely to be up in the cool mountains and swim in the cool very refreshing water. After nearly dying in the heat on a Hue city tour yesterday this was a lovely break from oppressive heat and such a great day hiking and seeing something different. Highly recommend.

A beautiful family hike in the Bach Ma forest - We hiked as a family with our children aged 7 and 4. We were a small group of 8 people and we had a great time in the Bach Ma forest. The guide spoke good English and took the time to explain to us the environment and the history of the Vietnam War, part of which took place in this forest. The meal provided is also excellent. Unfortunately we were not able to see the 5 lakes, but only the last two because the path to see the first three is too dangerous for young children. Despite everything, we had a beautiful hike and we were able to admire the waterfall towards the end of the circuit. This is a great activity to do from Hue.

A small group hike in Bach Ma NP - We had an amazing day with our tour guide from firefly travel! It was just myself and my partner wanting to do Bach Ma NP that day and they still ran the tour for us which was super helpful! They also organised our onward transport (car) to Hoi An afterwards (as the tour picked up from hue) Customer service is 5*, couldn’t have been more helpful and our tour guide was great! We loved swimming in the waterfall pool and had a hot packed lunch included with the trip which was very tasty. Would highly recommend this trip if you want to get out of the city and into nature for the day :)

Bach Ma Day out - Amazing day out. Minibus pick up and drop offs to and from hotel and drive to near the top of the park we’re helpful. Sam is a very good guide, with lots of knowledge. The waterfalls and pools were beautiful and some special wildlife was sighted.

Nice hike in the mountains - Great day trip from Hue. The guide is very knowledgeable and will give you insights on the history of the mountain and the area. It’s not a very long hike (in total around 7k) but it’s a fun one

Harrowing When Wet…don’t do it!!! - Beautiful National Park but there were issues regarding safety. If you love your family don’t take them on the foot trail called the “adventure trail.” Especially if it’s wet. My wife broke her arm, and we feel fortunate that was all that happened.

Not the best experience - We didnt have the best experience - mostly due to the bad weather. We couldnt see anything from the Mountain top and hiked along the 5 lakes in pouring rain. We felt quite rushed - with slippery ground and leeches everywhere it was not the nicest hike. We had to skip the third stop due to the heavy rain and flooding. Overall this trip should have been cancelled due to the weather conditions. Also, the main road in the park was partially washed away and driving there didnt feel safe. I‘m sure it’s quite nice when the weather conditions are good. The tourguide Sam knew the area very well and gave good insights. Lunch was nice, too.
