- Thien Mu Pagoda - Over 400 years old, Thien Mu Pagoda is one of the oldest pagodas in Hue City and is considered a symbol of the city, making it a popular attraction.
In 1601, Lord Nguyen Hoang, the first lord of the Nguyen Dynasty in Dang Trong (Southern Vietnam), moved south with his army to establish a new capital. While surveying the terrain, he discovered a small hill shaped like a dragon turning its head, with a harmonious blend of mountains and rivers. This hill, known as Ha Khe hill, was said to be visited nightly by an old lady in red and green clothes, who prophesied that a true Lord would build a pagoda there for the country’s prosperity. Inspired by this story, Lord Nguyen Hoang ordered the construction of a pagoda on the hill, facing the Perfume River, and named it Thien Mu (Heaven Lady).

Brilliant day - Had a fantastic day despite the weather. Our guide Sang was really informative and spoke clear English. We were met at the cruise port and returned within good time of sailing. The vehicle was a minivan and only being 4 adults we had plenty of room. They provided umbrellas and tried to work out the best route for the weather. We had terrible rain all day but Sang did his best to use every opportunity to get good photos of all the places of interest. I would definitely recommend this company, tour guide and destination to anyone with good walking ability. There were quite a lot of steps at the royal tomb so not sure if this would suit everyone.

Great tour with a fantastic guide - After the pick-up at Chan May Port, we went to Huê, the old imperial city. With some very interesting lectures I learnt a lot about the changeful history of this beautiful country!
The lunch was in a typical Vietnamese restaurant. There was still some time for a little shopping before we watched the tomb and had to head back to the ship.
Time went by too fast and you should do this excursion again outside a cruise to have more time to see all the things!

amazing experience with excellent service - had an absolutely fantastic time on this tour with Tommy. excellent service with a friendly smile. tommy went above and beyond with everything we needed. i cant recommend this tour enough for people wanting a great experience, especially with a local that has so much knowledge of the area as well over whelming enthusiasm for you to have a great time. thank you again Tommy i look forward to seeing you sometime in the future again.
