- The Marble Mountains - This group of five limestone mountains in Da Nang is both a tourist attraction and a site for Buddha worship. According to Cham legend, a dragon laid an egg on Non Nuoc beach, which hatched into a beautiful girl. The eggshell broke into five pieces, forming the Marble Mountains. Named by Emperor Minh Mang in 1825, each mountain represents one of the five elements of Eastern philosophy: metal, water, fire, wood, and earth. Today, Marble Mountains are known for their majestic peaks, caves, and temples.
