Excellent guided experience of the pyramids and ancient Egyptian history - Was visiting Egypt for the first time and staying in Hurghada. However, since we were here, we had to visit the Pyramids. So we looked on Get Your Guide and booked this tour. Once we booked, details of transportation and the itinerary were shared with us promptly. We got picked up from our hotel in Hurgada at 1:30am on Wednesday. It was a modern people carrier with good AC and comfortable seats. Good for a much needed nap to tackle long day. The drivers were super friendly and offered us drinks and crisps throughout. Took around 7 hours to get to Cairo, as they stopped a couple of times. Once we arrived in Cairo, they picked up our guide Mustafa. He was super friendly and relaxed and spoke great English. Felt like he was a friend we’ve known for ages. Made us feel very welcome. We then headed to Giza to see the pyramids. Getting inside was easy, as entry tickets are included in the price and Mustafa handled everything. Once inside, Mustafa gave us an insightful tour of the pyramids, with a clear explaination about the history and structure. We climbed up the hill further and there was an option to take a camel ride, which we did. This was an extra cost of around £20, but was so worth it. We saw all of the pyramids in the vicinity to a backdrop of bustling Cairo which was excellent. After spending some time here, we headed to the Sphinx, where Mustafa once again gave us some great insights into the mystics and wonder of this magnificent structure. After this, we then headed to a government owned shop that specialised in papyrus. Here one of the workers gave us a demonstration of how papyrus is used and its proper method of preparation. There was an option to buy some papyrus, although the workers weren’t too push when we said now. After this, we headed down to an Egyptian oil and fragrance shop, where we were give a talk on the tradition oils and perfumes, and the use case of each one. We were given tea and Egyptian coffee here, as well as a cold hibiscus drink which was nice. Once again, it was interesting to learn about the fragrances and then getting to some samples. Once again no obligation to buy, although we did purchase a couple of fragrances. After this, we went to a local restaurant with a stunning rooftop and view of the pyramids and Cairo for lunch. The meal was delicious. I had beef kebabs, rice and salad. There was also a selection of traditional soups included. This was free and included in the tour. However, drinks weren’t, so this is something we had to pay for separately. After this, we headed to the Egyptian museum at Tahrir square and saw a vast array of artefacts from ancient Egypt. Such mystic and wonder, explained by Mustafa in detail with ease. We stopped at several locations within , before giving 20 minutes to walk around on our own and explore. After this, we said goodbye to Mustafa and got back in the Van to Hurghada. A long day but most definitely worth it. Our guide Mustafa was exceptional, the drivers were also the same. Made us feel safe throughout the trip. Also Merna was great in keeping us upto speed. Highly recommend and would deffo do it again when I next visit Egypt.

The best tour we had in Egypt! - The entire tour spanned approximately 22 hours, including a 5-hour (×2) car journey to and from Cairo/Giza. Upon our arrival in Cairo, we were warmly welcomed by our knowledgeable Egyptologist tour guide, Dina, at the Museum of Antiquities. We spent a delightful 1.5 hours delving into the fascinating dynasties of ancient Egypt. I highly recommend asking any questions you may have about ancient Egypt, as Dina was exceptionally helpful and well-versed in the subject. Afterward, we embarked on a journey to Giza, situated across the majestic Nile River. There, we explored various antique shops and papyrus-making establishments. We also savored an authentic Egyptian meal at a restaurant with a breathtaking view of the pyramids. Subsequently, we visited a perfume shop before finally reaching the awe-inspiring pyramids. At the pyramids, Dina was once again very helpful in taking a variety of pictures for us. As you can imagine, we spent most of the 1½ hours there taking pictures with many different poses. Please be cautious of individuals who may approach you to take your picture or attempt to sell you something. It is advisable to ignore them and kindly request your tour guide to take pictures instead. We were also very impressed with our private mini bus drivers who were always nearby to pick us up, ensuring that we did not have to venture too far in the scorching 37°C heat. Even within the pyramids park, we were driven to various locations to capture pictures from different angles. After taking our final photos at the sphinx, we bid farewell to Dina and embarked on the 5-hour drive back to Hurghada. We safely arrived at our hotel, feeling exhausted, at approximately 10pm. I highly recommend Nice Tours in Egypt, I would book with them again.

Nice tour but exhausting - The pyramids + sphinx was great, they took a lot of time and our guide Essam took great photos of us and answered every question. Then we went to the Papyrus Museum. It was nice but the sellers were quite pushy but we didn't have to buy anything. After that, we went to the perfume shop. For us it was boring and uninteresting. We would have preferred to go straight to the Egyptian Museum. Due to the heat and lack of sleep it was very exhausting and in the perfume shop you are sprayed all over your arm with different scents. We didn't like that. Lunch was good and had a great view of the pyramids. Everything was well explained at the Egyptian Museum and we stayed there for an hour. All in all a very busy day but worth it. We were traveling from 00:30 to 21:30.
