Super trip out around... - Super trip out around 35km from Hurghada into the Sahara to see zillions of stars and watch an amazing sunset over the mountains. Was a fun but bumpy journey out - people of a nervous disposition or with back problems would probably not enjoy. But if you don't mind a little rough and tumble it's quite a thrill. You reach a small Bedouin camp, are welcomed with herb tea then scrambled a bit up a rocky slope to catch the sunset. Fantastic views are to be had but you need to watch your step. There's an interesting introduction into how Bedouin live then it's a tasty but basic light dinner with rice, salad, kofta and chicken. By that time it's dark and here's the true beauty of the trip - being in a place dark enough to see planets and constellations as well as the Milky Way. You get a chance to look through a big telescope onto see Saturn, then Jupiter. On the night of my trip you could also see four of Jupiter's moons. Seeing all those stars, usually hidden due to light pollution was simply awesome, as was our astronomer guide, Moussa's description of various stars and constellations complete with pointy laser pen. Great trip.

Star gazing!!! - What an amazing experience right from the get go. Our driver, I'm sorry I didn't catch your name, was so funny!!! Literally had us entertained all the way, getting us to join in with songs, clapping, entertainment could not be faulted. Big shout out to him for being able to navigate himself through the desert, it was beyond remarkable, respect. There was 8 of us in the jeep, a bit of a squeeze but all worked out well. As we got to our destination, you had the chance to have a camel ride before watching the sunset. I've never seen anything so beautiful, was definitely worth the wait. Will definitely cherish the beautiful scenery. Once the sunset had gone down, we were introduced to some of the locals who were selling home made herbal remedies and also shown a demonstration of how bread is made, even able to sample some. So nice! The stars were amazing with our tour guide Adam we were able to understand constellations even better, was so mesmerised with the vast knowledge he held. We were lucky enough to view Saturn, Venus and Jupiter through the telescopes provided. After viewing all this we were given dinner which was cooked by the locals, it was so delicious and there's options to have professional photographs taken for a small amount of £10. My only negative experience throughout this was being constantly asked by the guides there if I was Egyptian, when told no, they continued. Please don't judge people by the colour of their skin, as this really did annoy me after having constantly repeating myself and for some this might have even ruined their overall experience. If you get the chance to star gaze, don't hesitate you'll not regret it. With much love Sobia (UK)

Great experience for astronomy lover - Magical Stargazing Experience with Ibrahim in Hurghada The stargazing trip in Hurghada was an unforgettable experience, thanks to our amazing guide, Ibrahim. From the start, his warmth and expertise made the journey special. We enjoyed a scenic drive into the desert, followed by a delicious Bedouin dinner under the stars. Ibrahim’s deep knowledge of astronomy brought the night sky to life as he guided us through constellations and planets using telescopes. His storytelling and humor added a personal touch, making the evening both educational and fun. Would be great if we can have more telescope to watch longer by ourselves If you’re in Hurghada, don’t miss this incredible desert adventure. Ibrahim made it truly magical and memorable!

Very interesting activity to do in Hurghada - Really enjoyed the star gazing process itself, specially we had the English guide Ibraham who was amazing, very good knowledge and I did listen to him with my mouth open at all times. It’s something unusual to do. The sunset is amazingly beautiful, I would go again just for the sunset again. Why I gave 4 star? Because I felt like something is missing, a little bit of cherry on the cake kind of thing. But yes overall it’s pretty pretty good.
