The museum is the world’s largest museum of ancient Egyptian art, located on Al Tahirr Square in downtown Cairo. The Egyptian Museum was built in 1900 and opened in 1902. With more than 150 thousand artifacts, it now houses the largest collection of ancient Egyptian art. It extends over two floors with over 100 halls. Among other things, objects from various excavations are on display, around 1,700 pieces from the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb, mummies and coffins; many of the items found can be admired almost undamaged. The Egyptian Museum is very interesting and informative.

Pyramids of Giza - We continue to the impressive pyramids of Giza. The pyramids of Giza are among the most famous and oldest preserved structures of mankind; they stand on the western edge of the Nile Valley. The Giza pyramid field has been an important cemetery since the 1st Dynasty. The pyramids of Giza were built around 2620 to 2500 BC.
Afterwards we visit the famous Sphinx in Cairo, not far from the Khafre Temple. The Great Sphinx is by far the most famous and largest Sphinx. It depicts a lying lion with a human head and was probably built in the 4th Dynasty around 2520 to 2494 BC. The Sphinx has risen from the sands of the Egyptian desert for more than four millennia. The Sphinx was carved from the remains of a limestone hill that served as a quarry for the Great Pyramid. - Zafarana - in the way to Hurghada we will going to stop for rest and have some relax from road drive you can use the bathroom.
