Definitely worth it! - We had the BEST time! The bus journey was absolutely fine. At first we were told we were getting picked up from our hotel at 3.25am in a transfer car. The hotel phoned our room at 3.16am to tell us the driver had arrived and we got a WhatsApp message from the driver's company saying we were late and the driver had been waiting since 3.10am and he would leave without us if we didn't hurry up. This was our only issue from the whole trip. We got to the bus on time. The drive was absolutely fine, we had the seat where the rear wheels take up all the leg space but there were a few spare seats for you to be able to stretch your legs. The bus was spacious and air conditioned. You were provided free cold water, as much as you wanted. We met our tour guide, Nana, when we reached Luxor she is the absolute best guide! We definitely loved her sense of humour and she has such a profound knowledge of everything we saw. She was very caring and helpful, showing us the free toilets along the route, serving us cold drinks and ice cream on the bus. She was also very organised, she had collected all our tickets before we got to Luxor so we could sail through the security checks. The trip itself was fabulous! The temple of Karnak was amazing, Nana again told us all the information and history behind it. The valley of the Kings was amazing, the tombs are well preserved, definitely worth a visit. (Beware however, we came in March and it was around 32°C, it gets very hot!) We also paid extra through TripAdvisor to see Tutankhamen's tomb. It is very empty and plain but his mummy lies in the tomb itself which is on display. I feel like you can't come all the way to Egypt and skip one of the most famous Pharaoh discoveries. And finally the temple of Hatshepsut is magnificent. The architecture of ancient Egypt is unlike any other. We also did the optional Nile boat tour for 25 mins, $10 each, it took us to the restaurant for lunch which was good food. Serving chicken, rice, pastas, veg and some yummy desserts. We loved Nana the most out of the whole trip!

Excellent - We had an excellent experience with Nana. Our day started early at 3:50am from Sahl Hasheesh area. We had to pay an extra transfer free 10$ per person as mentioned in the description. The bus journey to Luxor including picking up passengers took about 5 hours. At Luxor we were met by our guide Nana who was exceptional. We started our journey at Karnak. Nana was very knowledgeable and funny. She kept us constantly engaged. After karnak we went for lunch. You have the option of taking the boat trip vs bus to get to lunch. The boat trip is fastest (20 min) whilst the bus journey is slow. Everyone including guide took boat which cost 500egp or 10$. Nana gives a small tour of luxor on the boat as well which was fantastic. Lunch was buffet style and was good. You then head off to see the valley of the kings. It is very hot so make sure to bring hats and sunscreen. Nana constantly provides cold water to everyone. They also provided us with some snacks on the way. After that, you will be taken to a small shop for some rest. You will then finish your journey at the Temple of Hatshepsut and then will be driven back. Overall, its a very long but worthwhile journey.

Nana's Children - Excellent guide called "Nana". Not only did she know her History but she presented it very professionally and in an amusing way, that didn't sound boring. There are two drivers on the trip, each taking in turn to drive to the schedule stops. It is a "long" day due to the early start, but at the end, it was well worth it.

Hurghada to Luxor/Valley of the Kings 2024.03.05 - Booked this trip thro' GetYourGuide (£118 for 2 persons). Zayed Ashraf owner of the minibus company (Al Aqsa Tours) was helpful prior to the trip and confirmed our pick-up at 5.00am from our hotel. Our drivers presented us with water and bread/cake for the 5hr road trip. On arrival in Luxor, we met Mona our guide for the day. She was infectious with her humour and knowledge of the temples and tombs. And her photograhic skills were most appreciated, always having time for everyone in our party of 9. Entry to the temples and tombs was included in our price. We went to Karnak Temple, had a Nile boat ride to our restaurant for a buffet lunch, then a brief stop at a alibastar factory, then onto Hatshepsut Temple, and finally The Valley of the Kings. The drivers who'd been polite and always been at hand during the day driving us between stops, kindly gave us bananas and more water for our return journey. We arrived back at our hotel at 19.30pm in time for evening meal. All in all a wonderful day and well worth the effort :-)

Brilliant - Big shout out to our drivers (sorry I didn’t catch their names) and our tour guide Ahmed Informed about pick up time the night before Bus picked us up on time from our hotel Due to my wife suffering from car sickness I messaged beforehand to reserve the front seat which the driver did Long journey as expected - don’t let this put you off. Time flew by and there’s a stop half way though. There’s a small charge to use the toilet here, however, there are opportunities to use free ones later on in the tour Unfortunately, a downside - at Valley of the Kings you can add on Tutankhamen for around £20 when booking through here, however, it’s only around £5 if you buy a ticket on the day but they only take card, no cash.

Great tours to Luxor and Cair - We had a fantastic experience with FTS Agency. My family and I did two tours with them, one to Luxor and another to Cairo, and both were incredible. Luxor is a must for anyone visiting Egypt and Cairo was just as amazing, packed with history and culture. The agency gave us great prices and top service from start to finish. Big shoutout to Nana, Smile and Hassan for looking after us so well. They made the trips even more special. Highly recommend FTS Agency for anyone visiting Egypt.

Brilliant tour for the bucket list! - A great tour for the bucket list but also great value for money. Our guide laila was incredible. It was packed out day but, she managed to tell us everything while also keeping us on time for the next part of the tour. After being picked up at 5 o'clock by a fairly new Toyota mini bus. We went on the 4 hour drive to luxor. Your first destination is the temple of karnak, this is where we were greated by laila. As we were a small group compared to the others. Laila gave us our tickets and walked us straight in. She also gave us great advice and was also extremely knowledgeable of all the destinations. She was able to answer all questions in depth. After the temple, we were offered to go on a ride on a boat on the nile. This is not included as part of the tour and an extra. This had great scenery and laila told us about building along the nile with history. We then had lunch. After that we went to the valley of the kings and visited 3 tombs. All 3 have amazing architecture. But be aware of the security at the bottom of the tombs as they will they will want a tip for taking a photo. We then went to the temple of hatshepsut. Brilliant day out

A sporadic start - A sporadic start……. Not the start we were hoping for. We was told to be at our hotel lobby for 0410 (5 minutes before pick up) We were waiting in the lobby from 04:00 and at 0430 we were collected by a car. He then drove around Hurghada while applying eye drops and constantly on the phone whilst driving! He then stopped at the side of the road and met another car. Got out for a cigarette break and chat?!?! No explanation?? WTF was going on??? He then drove us to a residential side road and stopped. It was at this point I received a text message from the tour operator asking where we was as the driver was in the hotel reception looking for us. To say this freaked my wife out is an understatement! Turns out we was meeting the coach on it’s route. This whole process requires more explanation to the guests. Once we meet up with Nana our tour guide this changed everything. She was fantastic, she took control of the group and didn’t take any nonsense from the hustlers around the places of interest. Her knowledge and delivery is excellent. Nana always puts the safety and comfort of her guests first as a priority, The tombs and monuments are incredible. Visiting king Tutankhamuns tomb is priceless and if anyone is visiting just pay the small fee. There was about half our group that didn’t go to see the tomb, crazy! If it wasn’t for the disorganised and worrying start we would have given 5/5 but unfortunately for putting the fear of god into my wife the score has to be lower. Apologies to Nana as some of our European travellers refusing to tip in the hat as I passed through the coach, hopefully it was still a good tip. Thanks for making the day so great!
