Desert safari - Ahmed was our tour operator and we couldnt be happier. Met up with him and the rest of the group which was small and friendly. The quad bikes and ATVs were a lot of fun and the guides were professional but fun. Took a land cruiser to the camels and small village which was incredibly beautiful, Ahmed was very entertaining and accommodating to my girlfriends car sickness, the ride was a lot of fun and very stunning. Camels we're incredibly cool and the setting even more stunning. Drove back to watch a couple shows, the fire dance was epic and the dinner was quite tasty. There were a couple really cool extra surprises that i won't ruin. I'll definitely be contacting these guys again!

Very nice day! - It was a great experience. We were picked up at the hotel and taken to the boat, where we went to Giftun Islands, did snorkeling, had lunch and then went to Orange Bay. It was very fun, very well organized and Fady and his crew were very professional, always making sure all of us were safe and having a good time. Thanks!!

Bulk handling and rip-off - Our quad tour started promisingly with pickup in an air-conditioned bus, but that was unfortunately the highlight of the day. Upon arrival at the quad station we were briefed in driving, but already at the beginning the first cameraman showed up, who wanted to take us for a photo 10 €. As soon as we left, we had to take the first break after about 10 minutes, allegedly because the quads had to cool down. In reality, it was probably just an opportunity for another cameraman to urge us to pose again. We immediately realized that these photos are not included in the price. Our guide knew neither German nor English, which made communication difficult. When we finally reached the Bedouin village, we were offered tea, but for other drinks like water we had to pay extra, although the description said that water and soft drinks are included in the price. The 10-minute camel ride that followed was hardly better: The Bedouins took pictures with my phone, of course for a fee. Unfortunately, we could hardly learn anything about Bedouin life as our guide barely spoke English – about as good as I know Arabic. After about 30 to 40 minutes of effective quad biking, the tour was already over. Another annoying point: My girlfriend suffered burns to her calves as the quad bike engine was not properly covered – the protective cover was simply missing. Back at base camp came the next shock: The cameraman tried to sell us the photos for a whopping €40. After tough negotiations, he eventually took €10, but in retrospect our own photos with the phone would have been just as good. The end of the tour was the crowning glory of disappointment: We were driven back in a completely crowded, unair-conditioned bus with 12 people. Opening the windows brought no relief. Instead of the promised seven hours, the tour lasted only five – fortunately, one would almost say. The food we were offered was simply inedible: Plastic dishes and warm Pepsi – we were happy to be able to eat something sensible back at the hotel. To top it all off, we were also shown a two-month-old lion puppy with which you could take photos for a fee of 5 €. I am not Ace, but such a young lion certainly does not belong in the hands of tourists, but to its mother. And stargazing? Misrepresentation. We were already driven back at 7 pm, so we didn't get to see a single star. I have done many quad tours, both privately and in groups, but this was by far the worst experience. If you have a hotel in Makadi, you should book a tour locally – it is much more personal and professional there. Too bad about the lost holiday day.
