Great experience! - It was a beautiful day. Our guide described everything to the littlest details and told us a lot of about the Egyptian History. The drivers were very friendly and professional, they usually on time.

Cairo trip from Hurghada - The excursion was well organized, and everything went smoothly. Wahba, our guide, was knowledgeable and provided a wealth of fascinating information about the history and construction of the pyramids. He answered questions thoroughly and in a friendly manner. Overall, it was a great experience that offered intriguing insights into ancient history. I highly recommend it!

Incredible experience! - It was a wonderful day and unforgettable memories. We have been waiting for this beautiful visit since we were young. But despite the long distance. But it was an unforgettable trip and will be added to my memories. I thank everyone who contributed to organizing this trip and the friendly skilled drivers. And we should not forget the customer service employee. Who works hard from the beginning of the trip until the end. And is constantly online. I wish you success and many customers. Recommended

22 hour long trip but absolutely worth it! A must see - Omar & Ahmed the drivers were brilliant, very experienced and kept things as smooth as possible. They did communicate as much as possible if you interacted with them. Cairo traffic is crazy, worse than India and they navigated so well so we weren't delayed. A 1.30am start - take jumper/scarf etc and breakfast box with you. They don't leave the mini bus so so can leave stuff on there. Take toilet roll - select your service stops some are free others not, 50 Egyptian to use. You go through 5 police check points where you are put in a queue before carrying on your journey, one of these held us for 40mins so it is a 7hr journey in and less on the way back. Not the companies fault. I travelled with 3 Italians and 4 Danish, we bonded as the day progressed once we had all had a little sleep. Cairo museum is fantastic, not enough time there but more time through this company then some. The only thing i would say is our tour guide (who has to keep us moving to fit everything is) kept saying you can come back for photos - get them there and then! otherwise your free time you are running around trying to find the right room etc. She's moving as soon as she finishes talking and always asks you to come closer and listen but if i didn't take the pics as i did whilst listening to her i would of never of had what i wanted. She was also very disappointed with a few of us that chose not to do the Nile trip - it's optional. I knew i was already doing the Nile at Luxor 2 days later (Same company) so that was the one i wanted to do. I would say some of her knowledge was limited to Nana on the Luxor trip who filled in the gaps on questions i had. Sultans Palace Perfumes was good, some lovely smells, nice tea. I did actually want the pure perfumes to bring home so I bought 2x 100ml and 1x 50ml. I paid £70 (negotiated from what started as £40 each for the 100ml and £30 for the 50ml) i was happy and they got their sale, worth every penny i paid and they wrap well for travel, just ask for paper to write the scent labels if buying a few. Lunch at the restaurant was great. Pyramids were great, everything you imagine, don't waste time going into the great pyramid, dark cold nothing to see i was told, spend the time in the sun enjoying the surroundings. If you look down to see the Sphinx below look to your right further into the rock/dirt and you will see more where the workers area was - i didn't have time to venture into this and was gutted as the locals say it's brilliant. We lost the Danish at the start of the pyramids so we lost a lot of time standing around - this meant we suffered again at the Sphinx - only 15 mins to explore and pics - i ran around everywhere but actually was quite annoyed at this as it was more important than the pyramids for me. So overall fabulous long day, advice is ensure your group keep up otherwise you all suffer with less free time to wonder and less time at the Sphinx. If you have any back problems or Oedema with legs you will need to have cushion of something as some parts of the roads are rough and you are sat for a 7hr journey so every opportunity to move around, do it. If you have a couple of weeks Hurghada than maybe split it up or fly - 50min flight i believe. I was only there for 6nights and had much to pack in. I did keep some of my breakfast box for teatime on the journey home as its late when you get back.

Highlights Caïro - Very long trip in the minivan (picked up at 1 am and back at 24 pm). But worth seeing the pyramids, the mask of Tutankhamun and busy Cairo one in person. Unfortunately, the new museum is not open until June, which was a pity but then the tour operator cannot help it. Just a great tour.

A great time - Went with my two kids 7 and 10 years old. We all had a great time. We visited the national egypt museum in Cairo, a perfume factory, a papyrus factory (short stops) and then of course the pyramids and the sphinx. The guide was friendly and had a lot of knowledge. Both he and the drivers where good with kids. The pros with a small group is that we didn't have to stand in line and wait at the stops, we could easily stop for a toilet break if some one needed or even to buy crisps.

Excellent Private Cairo Tour from Hurghada - Outstanding Driver! - We booked a private day trip to Cairo with ETO through. First, I must commend ETO's booking service - they were incredibly understanding when we had to reschedule twice (once for medical reasons, once for passport issues). This flexibility was greatly appreciated. Our driver, Mr Mahmoud, was exceptional. He picked us up at 1:30am in a spacious, air-conditioned 7-seater, giving us plenty of room to sleep during the journey. He provided free water and soft drinks, offered small change for toilet breaks, and was happy to stop whenever needed. We could even play our own music! As someone anxious about the long journey, his calm, professional manner was very reassuring. Only needed photos of passports, not originals. In Cairo, our English-speaking guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The Egyptian Museum tour (1.5 hours) covered the most interesting exhibits. We declined the optional Nile boat ride with no pressure. The included buffet lunch was good (drinks extra). We did make an unexpected stop at a perfume shop - typical for Egyptian tours - but there was no pressure to buy. At the pyramids (2 hours for pyramids and Sphinx), we took the official camel ride (600 EGP per person - more expensive but safer than street vendors). While our guide preferred to wait in the car during the pyramid visit, we managed the local vendors fine (tip: avoid eye contact and politely decline). The guide was happy to skip the papyrus museum at our request. The real star was our return journey - Mr Mahmoud got us back by 8:30pm in time for dinner, which was impressive given the distance. Tips: - Private car access was easier than tour buses - All entrance fees included - Bring snacks for the journey - Consider this tour as a good compromise between group bus tours and flying - Remember to tip well for good service - Stay polite but firm with vendors at pyramids A long day but worth it for the private experience. Special thanks to Mr Mahmoud for making the journey so comfortable!

Long journey but totally worth it!!! - Long and exhausting journey from Hurghada, but totally worth it once you get to Cairo! Our tourguide Mansour joined us at the Egyptian museum and was brilliant all the way through. He’s an archaeologist, very knowledgeable and super professional. God bless him!!! Small group of 5 people, so it felt kinda like VIP for our group and Mansour helped us beat all the long queues. We went in early January (winter time in Egypt) and we were very cold during the overnight drive, please bring a warm jacket/ fleece blanket or small pillow to keep yourself comfortable in the minivan. Also remember to bring enough snacks + cash for tips, souvenirs, drinks during lunch, additional activities (Nile tour, camel or carriage ride at the Pyramids, burial chamber etc) and toilet breaks. We were picked up at 01:30AM from our hotel with no introduction to the tour whatsoever from the drivers (so it felt kinda sketchy and awkward at first because nobody was explaining anything to us- we had to wait until the tourguide joined us in Cairo). Keep in mind: There are multiple checks and toll booths along the way, this definitely slows down the journey to Cairo. On the way back to Hurghada, it luckily went faster!!! Once in a lifetime experience to see the Egyptian museum and the Pyramids, so you won’t regret it! Thank you ETO travels!
