Before diving in, it’s recommended to practice breathing through the snorkel with your head above water. Place the mask on your head, ensuring the strap is positioned slightly high at the back and not too tight. Secure the mask to your face, breathe through the snorkel tube, and insert the mouthpiece fully into your mouth, similar to a football player’s mouthguard, sealing your lips around it. Avoid biting down; simply rest your teeth on the bite tabs to prevent jaw discomfort.
