The tour kicks off at the French Fortress, constructed by Napoleon’s forces, located on St. Nicholas Hill. This site served as a reconnaissance and lookout point, offering a picturesque view of Hvar town, the Spanish Fortress, and the islands of Pakleni and Vis. The journey continues with a drive through the lush and rural landscape of Hvar, passing through Brusje, where visitors can stroll through the Lavender fields, available seasonally from June to July.

Proceed along an old island road that offers breathtaking views. Enjoy the stunning vistas of the island’s deepest bays before arriving at the captivating village of Velo Grablje, established in the 14th century. Discover the village’s stone houses and courtyards, appreciating the architectural beauty as you wander the narrow streets and soak in the settlement’s timeless allure. Although nearly deserted today, a few residents still call it home. Velo Grablje was once a thriving and affluent community, renowned for its excellent wine and olive oil production. The village was also famous for honey production and was a leading producer of lavender oil in Europe at the time.

After departing Velo Grablje, the tour proceeds to the deserted village of Malo Grablje, concluding with an authentic Dalmatian lunch or dinner, depending on the time of day. A sample menu is provided below.
