Highly recommended! If you can only book one tour, book this! - Highly highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Adi was fantastic and he went above and beyond for us. We saw the northern lights at the hotel, thanks to him. He was a very safe and experienced driver and extremely knowledgeable about Iceland. The tour itself was well paced and we were so lucky with the weather. There were plenty of restroom stops on the way and Adi always made sure each and every one of us was safe. We felt very well looked after and will book with nice travels again when we are back! Thank you so much, Adi!

Diamond of a trip around Iceland - This two day tour was full of some of Icelands most striking scenes, waterfalls and beaches. Thoray made the trip interesting by interspersing her opinions, facts about the sites were visiting and general information about Icelandic culture. She also kept us informed about timelines and clearly communicated times which were often enough to complete the activity and have any meals if it was meal time. The overnight stay was great as well. The hotel had a rustic vibe and was comfortably appointed. There was even a chance to watch the northern lights. The tour contains waterfalls, a black sand beach, diamond beach, glacier lagoon, ice caves and other short stops for quick photos. This is a great way to tour the south coast of Iceland.

Wonders of Iceland with a fun, knowledgeable guide - With overflowing enthusiasm and effervescence our bus driver and guide Walter never let up. Relentlessly providing us with his wealth of knowledge about his subject, Iceland, whether we liked it or not, luckily we did like it. The places we went were incredible and I've had the time of my life as a 64 year old Australian woman travelling alone but grouped with a lovely bunch of travellers from all over the world. His driving skill was invaluable with Iceland's notorious strong winds which can bring some drivers undone - our lives were in his hands and he took care of us.

A must! you won’t regret it! - We absolutely loved this tour and our tour guide m (Hakon). Hakon made this a really memorable trip. He was friendly, funny, patient, knowledgeable, and has great stories. Plus, his love for Iceland was infectious (not that we needed more reasons to love it). He was great staying on schedule without making us feel rushed, and surprised us multiple times with additional stops.Did I mention he also gave great restaurant recommendations? Plus, gave us tips on restaurants/foods. I have to be honest. When I was booking this tour, I was a nervous about it being overwhelming. It wasn’t. The pace was perfect and we got to see so many amazing sites! It was amazing! On day 2, we went to the ice cave where we switched guides for a couple of hours (Svein). He was also a great guide. I highly recommend you book this tour, and I hope you get Hakon as your guide!

Magical Tour of The South Coast with Thor “Guide of the Gods” - I highly recommend this trip for anyone who doesn’t want the hassle of going about planning and driving to each location. “Thor” of Iceland (Our Guide) was amazing. He was very thoughtful and kind to everyone in our group. He made us feel like it was a big family trip. My best friend and I got to know each member of our tour. It was wonderful getting to know others from around the world. The landscape of this country is magnificent in every way. I had my favorite locations but each was unique and amazing. (Please remember that your guide doesn’t control mother nature.)

Good itinerary & well organised. - We got transferred to this tour when our original company opted out of 2-day tour itineraries. We were not disappointed with Nice Travel. Maria looked after us pretty well for the two days. The itinerary ticked all the boxes for us and would recommend. The part that we struggled with, and not Nice travels fault, is the over-tourism in Iceland, even in November. We opted for a small group tour because we wanted something more personal and be in the presence of far less people to enjoy the countryside. This isn't the case however, because at every stop along the way there were multiple other companies including both small and larger bus operators doing exactly the same thing at the same time. So the benefits of being on a small tour seemed to diminish quite a lot - that said i would still rather be on a bus with 18 people than 60.

Beautiful nature but the tour company leaves much to be desired - The nature was beautiful to see and the highlight of my trip (especially Diamond Beach, Glacier Lagoon, and the incredible ice cave tour). I had Philip as the guide and I appreciated Philip's choice in music and enthusiastic instruction. The guide was open to feedback and progressively improved the flow of the trip. I would have appreciated more heads up about what to expect before each stop. For example, we came to Gljúfrabúi and in the winter the only way to enjoy the hidden waterfall is to bring rain boots, as you must walk through water and ice to get to the water fall. This was not mentioned by the guide and I had to discover this fact on my own. Unfortunately I had to miss this spectacle because I did not know to bring rain boots (this could have been easily mentioned in the itinerary). This may seem small, but for having paid $800 for this tour, I would have expected more detailed guidance before each stop. One reason I chose a minibus tour over a large bus tour as a solo traveler was to be able to connect with other travelers on the bus, but there was no cohesive vibe on the tour as it seemed to mostly be comprised of a group traveling together with some individuals added on. Additionally, I did not receive an itinerary to my email, only an invoice, so I did not know what to expect. When I called customer service to learn about the particulars of the trip, the agent was not engaging or expansive. While I enjoyed the sights, I do not feel the trip was worth the near $800 I spent. Solo travelers must pay an additional fee (this is the case with all 2 day tours). My recommendation for solo travelers who are interested in seeing the South Coast would be to take daily trips to the area from Reykjavik and save the expense of a 2-day tour.
