- Taramati Baradari Resort - Taramati Baradari is an extraordinary music hall with incredible acoustics and is our next stop on the one-day Hyderabad tour. Taramati was the favorite dancer of Abdullah Qutub Shah, the 7th Sultan of Golconda. He constructed this music hall with remarkably fine acoustics so that her voice could reach him at the Golconda Fort, located 3 KM away.
- Qutb Shahi Tombs - The Qutub Shahi Tombs were built in memory of the ancient kings of Golconda. The arches, columns, dome minarets, and galleries are exquisite and are surrounded by gardens known as Ibrahim Bagh. According to legend, these tombs were highly revered during the reign of the Qutub Shahi Kings, and even criminals seeking refuge here were pardoned.
- Birla Mandir - Birla Mandir is dedicated to Lord Venkateswara, an incarnation of Lord Vishnu. In addition to the main deity, Shiva, Ganesha, Hanuman, and Sai Baba are also worshipped in this temple. This magnificent temple was constructed using 200 tonnes of pure white Rajasthani marble and took 10 years to complete. The architectural style is a blend of South Indian, Utkala, and Rajasthani influences.
- Hussain Sagar Lake - Our final stop on the one-day Hyderabad tour is Hussain Sagar Lake, Asia’s largest artificial lake, built by Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah in 1563. The lake’s main attraction is the world’s largest monolith statue of Buddha. The Buddha statue stands at a height of 72 feet and weighs over 450 tons. His Holiness The Dalai Lama consecrated this statue in 2006.
