Highlights
  • Daehakno - Daehakro is a major “arts & culture street” of Korea with some 150 theaters clustered in the area. Stretching for about 1.6km from Jongno 5-ga in Jongno-gu to the Hyehwa-dong Rotary, Daehakro was designated a “cultural zone” operated as a “no cars zone” on weekends. You can visit many historically and culturally popular sites such as Marronnier Park and Naksan Park, or see and taste the latest trends at the various eateries and shopping facilities. Walk toward Changgyeonggung Palace while feeling the youthful energy of Daehakro, which is lively even late at night. - Changgyeonggung Palace - Changgyeonggung Palace has the most beautiful night view among Korean palaces. And why does Changgyeonggung have the saddest story of all palaces in Korea? Listen to the hidden stories with the wonderful night view! - Kwangjang Market - From sipping on the iconic Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) to savoring the delightful Jeon (savory pancakes), every moment spent here offers an extraordinary gastronomic adventure. If you’re a daring foodie, try the live octopus, a standout dish famously featured in the movie “Old Boy”. Its unique texture and fresh taste create a culinary experience that is both exciting and memorable. Tasting the live octopus offered at the market is a personal choice. And there’s more. Get ready to taste four special types of traditional Korean street food, each one a crowd-pleaser at Gwangjang Market. These are not your typical fast food; each dish has a story, every bite is a piece of Korean culture. No visit to Gwangjang Market is complete without trying the popular Kkwabaegi (twisted Korean donuts). These sweet treats are so popular that people line up to get their hands on them. But with our insider tips, you can skip the line and dive straight into this sweet indulgence. - Jonglo3ga Pojangmacha Geoli - Korea’s cart bar, pojangmacha! That scene that must appear in Korean dramas! Become the main character of a Korean drama as you pass through Pojangmacha Street! - Ikseon-dong Hanok Street - Ikseon-dong was a place where Korean artists gathered to escape discrimination of goverment and other people. Nowadays it has developed a lot,but you can see a place where the pain and memories of sexual minorities who were discriminated against in the past and many unfortunate artists are preserved! - Insadong - Did you know there are not many English signs in Insadong? Even Starbucks written in Korean! Well worth it - The tour has perfect timing. Not too rushed nor too long. Great facts and stories at the palace, interesting tasting of local foods, and the tour ends at a beautiful Buddhist temple in the middle of the city.

Great, lively tour - Our guide Sen was just great! She told exciting stories about palace life, chose great food. Palace at night is a special experience. Also impressive was the last stop, the Buddhist temple. Actually we had already seen enough temples that day, fortunately we went along.

Well worth it! - Great story telling and good variety of sites! I am grateful I took the tour to learn more about Seoul and see more than I would have otherwise. I was impressed with how much we saw for the price of the tour.

Great evening tour - The best tour of my trip! Exploring the food markets, sampling items I would be unlikely to try, and seeing the palace and temple at night was most enjoyable! Our guide, Gina was a bundle of energy, and was a delight with whom to spend the evening!

It was a brilliant night! - I had such a good time on this tour. Our guide was really warm and friendly and very knowledgeable. The Palace and Temple were fabulous to see and the meal (including rice wine and raw octopus!) was an experience that I thoroughly enjoyed. I would definitely recommend comfy shoes as you do walk - a lot!! A great evening!!

Rainy but great! - We had pouring rain during most of our tour, but the guide kept up a good mood in the group and made it a great experience for everyone! And the sights were, in my opinion, even better when it rained as it gave them a very cozy atmosphere. Make sure to bring a raincoat/umbrella (and maybe an extra pair of shoes to have dry ones the next day) if you are planning to take the tour in the rain season of July-August.
