Highlights
  • Daehakno - Daehakro is a major “arts & culture street” of Korea with some 150 theaters clustered in the area. Stretching for about 1.6km from Jongno 5-ga in Jongno-gu to the Hyehwa-dong Rotary, Daehakro was designated a “cultural zone” operated as a “no cars zone” on weekends. You can visit many historically and culturally popular sites such as Marronnier Park and Naksan Park, or see and taste the latest trends at the various eateries and shopping facilities. Walk toward Changgyeonggung Palace while feeling the youthful energy of Daehakro, which is lively even late at night. - Changgyeonggung Palace - Changgyeonggung Palace has the most beautiful night view among Korean palaces. And why does Changgyeonggung have the saddest story of all palaces in Korea? Listen to the hidden stories with the wonderful night view! - Kwangjang Market - From sipping on the iconic Makgeolli (Korean rice wine) to savoring the delightful Jeon (savory pancakes), every moment spent here offers an extraordinary gastronomic adventure. If you’re a daring foodie, try the live octopus, a standout dish famously featured in the movie “Old Boy”. Its unique texture and fresh taste create a culinary experience that is both exciting and memorable. And there’s more. Get ready to taste four special types of traditional Korean street food, each one a crowd-pleaser at Gwangjang Market. These are not your typical fast food; each dish has a story, every bite is a piece of Korean culture. No visit to Gwangjang Market is complete without trying the popular Kkwabaegi (twisted Korean donuts). These sweet treats are so popular that people line up to get their hands on them. But with our insider tips, you can skip the line and dive straight into this sweet indulgence. - Jonglo3ga Pojangmacha Geoli - Korea’s cart bar, pojangmacha! That scene that must appear in Korean dramas! Become the main character of a Korean drama as you pass through Pojangmacha Street! - Ikseon-dong Hanok Street - Ikseon-dong was a place where Korean artists gathered to escape discrimination of goverment and other people. Nowadays it has developed a lot,but you can see a place where the pain and memories of sexual minorities who were discriminated against in the past and many unfortunate artists are preserved! - Insadong - Did you know there are not many English signs in Insadong? Even Starbucks written in Korean! Listen to the development process of old merchants in Insa-dong as you walk along the beautiful night streets! - Jogyesa Temple - How did Korean people come to believe in Buddhism? Enjoy the story of Korean Buddhism and beautifully shining lanterns!

Perfect evening activity for solo traveler - I completed this tour with Ms. Sen who was a lovely and knowledgeable guide. It was very easy to find the meeting point and the tour moved along at a good pace. It’s the perfect activity that doesn’t require a full day (took 3.5 hours) and great for a solo traveler. I had a great time and would definitely recommend!

Amazing night walking tour - This is an amazing walking tour with Pearl. She is an interactive and informative tour guide and we were all well taken care of through the night walking tour. It was still bright at the Palace hence plenty of sight-seeing around the palace. The dinner which consists of street food and makgeolli is filling and well-paced. Not too rushed and plenty of time to mingle with other tour members. Overall, two thumbs up!

Good walking tour - This was definitely a walking tour, with some food. Heavier on the culture than on food. But we had picked it for that reason, and we enjoyed it. Just know that there is a lot of walking involved. Wear comfortable shoes. We had gone to the adjacent palace earlier in the day, and it was quite crowded. The palace at night is empty and quiet and pretty. The food at the market was all yummy, and the temple after that was serene and beautiful. We enjoy talking to other travelers on group tours like this. We are glad we did this tour.

Excellent must do if short on time. - Our guide was very knowledgeable and kind. The market experience was my favorite portion. She encouraged everyone to try but was not pushy. I really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend!

Great well lead experience! - A walking tour which covered around 6km of walking was well hosted. Small manageable group the palace was well worth seeing. Although it was still light so not under lights. The market walks and dinner were great….be ready for the raw octopus and beef !!! Well worth a try !!

The live octopus squirming on our plate was a bit too much, but the rest of the food samplings were tasty - Our guide was very friendly and helpful. She was very flexible with how long we stayed at each destination and very mindful of my husband’s walking limitations.

Nice walking tour - A good tour to join even as a solo traveler. We got to the Changgyeonggung palace in the evening, but it was still bright sky. So the lighting at palace wasn't that clear. It went dark when we left the area. The foods were delicious, even provided vegi options for me. Unfortunately we didn't have time to see more of the Gwangjang Market, just the beginning. The Jogyesa Temple was magical due to decorations for Buddhas upcoming birthday. For a groupsize like this I would recommend a microphone or something like this. I couldn't get everything from our lovely tourguide.

Nice mix of activities. Lasted a bit too late at night for me. - I enjoyed all the activities and the guide was lively. I think we spent too much time at the palace. As a result, our time at the market was very rushed. Overall, a very good tour. I would recommend.

Very nice experience - I like the history if the place and the beauty of the places were enhanced by the lights. The guide is very informative.
