Amazing Class!! - My partner and I picked this tour during our recent trip to Hanoi. Unfortunately due to the current Covid 19 outbreak we weren't able to do the market tour but we didn't feel like we missed out at all! We were picked up from our hotel and driven to the villa which was super clean and professional. There were 8 people in the class including us. Mike was a fantastic chef and fantastic teacher. We got to do so much hands on stuff during it and the assistants were there to clean up and finish tasks so we could get on with eating and enjoying it. We made banana flower salad, spring rolls, bun cha soup and egg coffee. We don't have any dietary needs but we had 2 vegans and someone who couldn't eat pork or beef and Mike was really accommodating to those needs on the spot. The place was very clean and the very hygienic. Ingredients were all very fresh and the meals were delicious. They also send you the recipes afterwards which is amazing! We would highly recommend this class to anyone looking to do one. My partner also wanted to mention that it's an open fridge for the class with beer, coke, sprite and water, he thoroughly enjoyed the beers during the class and we were both in epic food comas by the end of it all!!

Cannot ask for more! Brilliant cooking class! - I and my family were recommended by a friend to take a cooking class with May (it means Cloud in Vietnamese) And i’m so glad that I did it. The local market tour was very eye opening. The cooking class was interactive and informative. And the foods tasted amazing. The classes and spaces are beautifully designed and the kids can play around the nice yard with lots of trees - this is a beautiful house. Thank you for the recipe book, it is very helpful for me to recall all the things I learned. This is the best of the best experience we have ever had in Vietnam. The big shout out to all the team members of May. You are just amazing. Thanks a billion!

The most beautiful experience - So amazing!!! Our host helped us to choose meat, vegetable and some fruits. The market was busy and bustle but interesting to explore. My kids were impressed with the fresh fishes and crabs. And the food we cooked, wow, were better than any restaurants. Must try.

Great chef, phenomenal food quality - Pick-up and drop-off are very convenient. The cooking class includes market tour as well, which was one of my favorite highlights. It was so eye-opening to have a chance to walk through the wet market and pick up all the fresh ingredients. Vietnamese cuisine is flavorsome, and I am amazed by how much of the prep work we need to do to cook a dish. The marinate, dipping sauce, seasoning are all interesting. They have a beautiful balance in the flavors, especially the Pho. I will definitely recreate it when I get back home. I would like to send my special thanks for our chef. She was so inspiring when she instructed people how to cook. She always kept people focused but made sure everyone had a fun time cooking. Great sense of humor! This cooking class is a great choice for those have a free morning or afternoon in Hanoi. No crowd, no noise from the Old Quarter, it is also a great way to get away from the tourists’ areas.

Lovely cookery course with lovely people - Our cooking class with 7 people from different groups had a delightful evening together at May cooking class. We cooked 4 Vietnamese dishes, I really liked the Buncha and egg chocolate. Our chef guides us through all the ingredients at the market and then instructed us how to cook. We learnt a lot of interesting tips and techniques in Vietnamese cooking style. And the experiences was very hands-on. We was involved in actual preparing and cooking the foods. That’s an excellent point. All the dishes are tasty and there was no left over after the class. We were full and happy as purring cats.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! - This cooking class went beyond my expectations. Our guide is a professional chef. He took us to a local market where we bought ingredients for the menu. my favourite dish in the menu was Banhxeo - it looks like a pancake but very crispy. Wrapped with some herbs, veggies, and rice papers, then dipped in the sweet and sour sauce. The taste was amazing! We also had Pho, Bun cha, and Egg Coffee. They were so good and all are the best I tasted in Vietnam.

Highly recommend for foodies - Our chef is kind and patient and always served everyone with a smile. The cooking process was conducted step by step. To be honest I cannot call myself a good cook but their recipe and instruction were easy to follow. The foods then turned out delicious. The class and the villa were clean, I think they have a hygiene standard so all the staffs’ works align to it. Eventually I savor every bit of the foods. Overall it’s a wonderful and memorable experience that is well spent with May team.
