Great experience - Fantastic trip with Ice Explorers. The stated 1.5 hours was all time on location, not including travel time from the meeting location to the glacier parking, and our guide Guillermo was absolutely lovely. There were some crowds at the cave when we went in, but by the time we were coming out, most of the others had already left, and we were able to get good, people-free shots. The light and the blues in the ice cave ceiling were fantastic. Only one niggle - I don't understand why weren't given full crampons instead of the spring-like YakTrak style mini-traction devices. Getting onto the glacier and into the cave was very slick, but there were ropes to hang onto. Once inside the cave, there were ice floors and you were on your own. Footing was really bad in places and full crampons would have made a huge difference.

Breathtaking scenery - The Golden Circle tour was an unforgettable experience, filled with breathtaking scenery that I will treasure forever. The highlight for me was Gullfoss waterfall, which I highly recommend to anyone visiting Iceland—it’s truly mesmerizing. The tour also provided detailed explanations about the Golden Circle’s landmarks, making it both educational and enjoyable. Additionally, the convenience of hotel pick-up and drop-off made the journey seamless and stress-free. I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this well-organized tour!

Phenomenal - Our guide was truly knowledgeable. I loved each stop that we took. The geyser was incredible. The waterfall was majestic. The tomato soup was the best tomato soup I’ve ever eaten, and the crater was phenomenal.

Ice Cave Tour - 100% worth it! This tour was so cool and so well done. Our guide Axel was awesome - really knowledgeable, super chill, and honestly one of the best photographers ever! He helped us figuring out the best lighting in the cave and even carved a heart out of ice for my fiancée and I to pose with! I felt safe and well taken care of. They provide helmets for the cave (wear a hat without a Pom Pom on top for a better fit!) and we didn’t even need crampons but they had them in case. Meeting was in the main parking lot and the guide was easy to spot. There are bathrooms and some food trucks here. Then after the tour, we hopped right across the street and saw Diamond beach. Drove from Vik and as long as you pack snacks and get a good sleep, it’s doable to drive to here and back in a day. It was bad weather and they kept the tour going which was great because it was even cooler in the snow! Just leave plenty of travel time to drive safe and slow!
