Remember to wear waterproof clothing if you venture to the front. Hidden Iceland offers waterproofs for hire if you wish to get very close. On sunny days, a rainbow may appear in the mist. This majestic waterfall has been featured in popular shows like Game of Thrones and Vikings.

Reynisfjara Beach - Next, visit Reynisfjara to marvel at the incredible rock formations on this stunning black sand beach. The angular basalt columns with their hexagonal shapes make for perfect photos on calm days. In summer, you might spot adorable puffins nesting in the cliffs above. Winter often brings dramatic crashing waves. Strolling along the volcanic black sand is a mesmerizing experience. For those without food, the Black Beach Restaurant offers a chance to sample local cuisine, with the locally grown turnip soup being a Hidden Iceland guide favorite!

Vik - Enjoy a brief photo stop in this charming seaside town or pick up some snacks from the local supermarket.

From there, travel to meet local ice cave specialists from Local Guide for an Ice Cave adventure. Journey in their specialized Super Jeeps to get closer to the glacier. Get an up-close view of the mesmerizing ice formations of an outlet glacier of the vast Vatnajökull icecap, with an ice cave and glacier hike tour. • Pickup commences at 9 am from designated pick up point. We might not be able to pick up directly from all hotels, depending on hotel and group size.
