- 424 Hvalfjörður Tunnel - Hvalfjarðargöng is a road tunnel under the Hvalfjörður fjord and is the first underwater tunnel in Iceland. It is among the longest underwater road tunnels in the world, being 5,770 m (18,930 ft) in length and of it, 3,750 m (12,303 ft) lies beneath the seabed. Its deepest point reaches 165 m (541 ft) below sea level.

Make sure to visit the Silver Circle, not just the Golden Circle. - Lovely day with guide Margaret to experience the Silver Circle. Beautiful, new, comfortable large van. Helpful history and orientation to the sites… as well as her help to choose some Icelandic candy. She found us a fun, quirky, casual lunch spot (a hot dog in a hot house) that felt very unique.
